Transfers to these realms ARE CLOSED. That means that nobody in Tier 3 gear can transfer over to gank you in Redridge or Stonetalon. Anyone who wants to play HAS to start from Level 1. Came back here to offer an update: Joined Refresh Alliance guild on Deviate Delight. Got to level 21 in a week. Been having an absolute blast. Lots of people running dungeons and helping each other with elite quests. It’s been amazing playing the best version of the best MMO ever made. Thanks for promoting this Madseason.

Heads up: Blizzard has "endorsed" this enough to give us - Transfers blocked to the server, and free transfer off is also blocked. This is to keep the server feeling fresh, and then to stop bots from farming here and then taking their goods to whitemane to sell.

Top 5 what I personally miss the most about Vanilla: #1 Life in 2004/5 #2 The old DYNAMIC hunter pet system (everything was so unique & very fun/intriguing to safari for the best pets) #3 The old PVP ranking system (Warlord I reached) #4 It was all about the journey! #5 People were friendlier and actually enjoyed answering questions and chatted more What helps in retail today is to imagine how much you would have loved to have all these new spells back in 2004. That, and I just returned specifically for RP purposes and if you can use/improve your imagination and fully immerse yourself- the old vibes will come back. Still looking for a solid RP tribe though 👀 p.s. good job calling out the Horde in your last video, we must keep the hatred strong. The separate factions are very important and that separation must not be removed.

I just want permanent TBC and Wrath servers. I’ve already got my Vanilla server.

Madseason to my knowledge has never promoted private servers, even back before classic (he might have talked about Nostalrius after it was closed down come to think of it) I think it's a mix of principle and part of his business that he just doesn't promote private servers on his channel. Which should be respected imo

Sweet, life got in the way when Bliz relaunched classic in 2019 so I never got to get into it like I wanted. I've been waiting for something like this so I think I will give it a go. Thanks for the heads up!

The server was completely dead. 1 guild horde side with only a few players on at any given time. AHs were empty. Now it's poppin' like 2004!

if you don't want people ruining the game by doing that, then you'll need to find a private server that bans people for doing it and actively hunts down people that do it, and hope the server doesn't secretly dupe gold and sell accounts & gold

Like I said on Azamous' vid: The big problem here will be that it's on ERA server. This means GDKPs will be allowed which in turn means there will be bots and swipers. Even before people start raiding there will be a market for gold buying to get ahead in proffessions, mounts, gear... I wish the community wouldn't do it, but that's just not the case. Still I hope for the best and the people that do go for it have fun and don't get railed by swipers at 60 after sinking a couple 100 hours into their character.

All hope is not lost as the current community from what I've seen is a group of like minded players that are policing bots and blacklisting GDKP groups/players. It's not against TOS to GDKP but those players will have a harder time doing content with anyone. The idea behind this is that Blizz will take notice and set up an official fresh with this ruleset in place. They have already officially stopped free transfers on and off this server so they are watching this movement for sure.

Genuinely better and more interesting things to do than grind a character (again) only to do it on another (again) in the same zones (again) The grind becomes meaningless once you think (what if I had all the things I was grinding for right now?) Turns out, it feels like a huge waste of time, when IRL friends, relationships and family have so much to experience. Seeing all the people you watch play it, quit. Your friends quit, so it becomes meaningless.

Please, fresh progression servers! Classic population is dropping fast between SoD and Cata while private servers are booming again. Content is already made, bug checked, and stress tested by us for 5 years. It would cost Blizzard nearly nothing to launch these servers.

@@DiviAugusti Cata will be dead by the end of the year once Dragon Soul drops. Raid counts for the first two weeks already show a pretty big population loss from WotLK. Couple that with SoD floundering a bit I see the overall classic population dropping a lot by the start of 2025, and blizz won't let those subs slip away that easily. Not saying cata is bad, but a loss of players each expansion is to be expected as people meet their "I'll play till X expansion" is reached. Eventually we will hit player counts that aren't worth continuing. Also I'm wondering what Blizz' plan is with MoP as they just dropped remix in less than a year of Classic reaching MoP, very odd timing. Some of my guild tinfoil hat Cata will be the last classic expansion and Remix is a beta test for how they will transfer classic characters to retail.

What's funny is that Blizzard continues to ignore the players so they try and find ways to do things themselves all while continuing to give Blizzard money. There is literally no incentive for Blizzard to do anything about anything

I'm highly considering rolling on this server, but I moreso wanted to say a big thanks to Madseason here for reminding players that it is an RP realm and to not intentionally disrupt people's fun.

Sooner or later someone at Blizzard will cotton on to the fact that all they need to do is have a couple dedicated Vanilla servers that run a cycle for a year/eighteen months, and then the slate is just wiped clean (maybe they could character copy your data and dump them onto the say "eternal" realms).

I just think that Classic Wow is a very specific kind of game that has a lifespan, and it is quite literally designed to be cyclical. The ohase system is designed for specific content, being enjoyed at specific times, and this means the game can kind if be re released constantly. Thats why i always got so hyped when a new vanilla private server launched.

Just a reminder for anyone who is rolling on this server. It was once filled and has sleeper accounts, bots and gold in it. It's not entirely fresh and there is a power struggle in the guilds as of this month.
