true! you nailed those 2 artist on point!
This Is so very comfortable and relaxing, really calmed me down and made me feel soothed, something about watching Them perform Encyclopedia live but in a non concert setting you kind of get a full on Jonny and Jacob Drums experience, lovely being able to hear them speak and explain the whole entire album inspiration and process this time around that evolved and created Encyclopedia, very intimate and addictive, give it to me give it to me.
These guys continue to evolve their sound without sacrificing their roots. Such a great record.
I loved every song they played on this KEXP Session, it was amazing to hear my favorite songs in the 30 mins. of neverending emotions
That chorus on "kiss me again", amazing!

What an awesome piece of work this album. Great songs! Top shelf performance. Thanks!

such a capital band, thanks kindly for your efforts in sharing these videos, it is greatly appreciated, cheers from san diego!
this band is a triumph live.
So angry I missed them recently in Australia. I'll never forgive myself. Listening to kexp makes it slightly better though.

I saw them live on Mexico las year! It was awesome. I still liked how guitar sounded in the first two albums (now it's just a background resource). Still, they are a great band, the Synths never sounded better!
these guys are amazing. so magical, mysterious and so out of the normal when it comes to music, in my opinion ^^ their vibe is brilliant.

great band. very transparent music. i also thoroughly enjoy listening to them speak. their answer are all great, and just the way they speak is nice to listen to as well. very peaceful and very inviting.
My babies! Can't wait to see them next week
Yayy, Im so excited! I think this is their best and the most meaningful album and I just cant stop listening to it. It's such a pity they dont play in Slovakia, i would do anything to hear and see them live!

i love that album a lot >
I found out about the drums on Spotify last year at my jobs warehouse
Great album, can't wait for the next one.
I love the two of 'em x
Very modest, these guys sound like they know what they're doing.
Totally not my style to judge bands just by listening and not paying attention but i though The Drums were shit. Then, a couple of weeks ago i saw a live show and these guys were fucking amazing. They have this vibe that you just can't describe or escape. It's never too late to change your opinion and i changed mine. The Drums are great.
They are awesome! xx
Amazing band !!!!
Great sound!
the guy playing guitar and singing back up vocals is Johnny Aries. he was the front man in the band, two wounded birds and is a solo artist. great musician, I love his work. I also love the drums. :)

¡Qué tienes que me encantas! Saludos desde México
I really like his triple a jacket. Looks vintage. I feel like I have seen it somewhere before.
LOVE
they sound like the julee cruise band from twin peaks
They're a different band to me now
Good indeed
you know!
Great
THE BEST
I Like it!!! :3
When this album first came out I wasn't a fan. After a month or two, I much preferred it to Portamento. All of the songs have the same kind of vibe that is incredibly unique.
Sooo real
Muito além, muito bom
Es un disco verdaderamente distinto pero esta muy bien trabajado.
"You know"
Somewhere in the back of my mind I crave my own demise 💯❤️
Jacob and Jonny would of been such a beautiful couple man
te amo Jonny

Why did Jacob leave the band? John and Jacob are like our Lennon and McCartney. It's like wtf?
He moves really weird when he's talking..I like it.
👏👍✌️❤️🇨🇵
Blissful ignorance - let me slip into it for once
The lead guitarist looks like he doesn't want to be there. Personally, Portamento is a MUCH better album.

Im so jelous of cheryl, she has met many band i lovee Y-Y
Jacob and Johnny are killer but to bad the players don't look like they enjoy the music at all.
records eeh.. you know ..
i dont like their new album, just like i hate mgmt's new album and dislike of montreals last two records. maybe it just takes time for me to get a taste for the new music, but i've been disappointed lately. It's like all these bands start out strong and then just fizzle out
I loved their last two albums but this new stuff is awful. They've lost their rawness that i loved in. Their old stuff. They should have changed their name after the split because this isn't the drums we knew before.

bands who have the ambition to progress is a good thing. They're new album at first was very different, but grows on me more and more...and that's the best thing for an artist to hear....i think they have matured greatly, they're no longer going for straight on catchy songs, which is impressive.
@Sonoflope95-

The drums can't have the same EP and just like they said this album is more of them expressing themselves, bands always need to change their sound to bring different things to the table and I think it still sounds like them dude. Why would they change the name when Jonny and Jacob started the band?

The New Album 'Encyclopedia' reveals the bandwagon Fans, who only loved a particular Song of the Band and despise everything else that's refreshing. And it looks like the Album just found a fake fan. YOU.
@CamKOL1
9 жыл бұрын
I think this album is even more "The Drums" than the other albums, because they didn't have that kind of pressure they could actually have with the 1st one, you know they knew they had real fans( not your case obviously) and so that they could let themselves be what they really wanted to and do what represent them the most
@Sonoflope95-
9 жыл бұрын
Camille KOL I agree because even though they did love their older albums too they focused more on making catchy music now that they know they have a fan base they came out with encyclopedia which is more personal which some "fans" don't understand
When Jonny hired gorgeous gay men to work with him, these days his music is still good but the band he has with him... Yikes!
Check out the band The Garden. They're better than these guys.
TOO MUCH BLAH BLAH BLAH
