there's a cool theory that ty lee is a descendant of airbenders since the fire nation has a history of colonizing other regions (i.e. the fire nation colonies in the earth kingdom). she has the same eye color as aang and is super acrobatic so it would make sense.

My biggest reason for thinking this way is due to fighting technique. Air benders are passive and defensive just like her fighting style. The eye color as you mentioned also stands out. I like this theory even if its the real thing or completely fake🤷🏾‍♂️

This type of drill machine is the most effective to make a hole, they used this to make a tunnel Also, a drill like in Gurren Lagann could easily breaks if by any chance the Ba Sing Se wall are very hard

The CGI is not horrible? Is much better than most CGI I've watched in top anime now.

I’ve been watching this other reaction channel called Spartan&Pudgey react to Avatar, and unlike these two, they get disgusted every time Azula or her friends are on screen and dismiss everything they say and do. Thank you guys for actually appreciated how well written Azula is as a character instead of acting like her only function is to get in the way of the protagonists!

I stopped watching their shit when Toph was introduced and the dude said, without hesitation, “oh it’s just a girl in a dress, probably not a cool character.” And when I called him out on internalized misogyny, with other examples like them nodding along with Sokka’s sexist speech in the beginning, and then agreeing with his gender roles rant in Ep 4, they responded to my comment with, verbatim, “We both value and appreciate traditional gender roles. We grew up in families where the women were proud of nurturing. If you had continued watching we actually said Toph is one of our favorite characters. But yes, speaking rationally and using our logic and experience, a skinny teenage girl doesn’t have the same physical strength as a fully grown male, and is physically weak, after she PROVES her abilities then we can appreciate it.” So in other words, yes you’re sexist and proud of it, and also incapable of taking responsibility for your lack of emotional maturity. What a shit show. He literally did the “I can’t be sexist, I like girls.” I threw up in my mouth.

@@bhelliom3 That's honestly pretty disappointing. Especially since by the time you get to Toph physical appearances have long since been proven to be a poor way to judge characters in the show. Katara's skinny, Suki's skinny, Azula, Mai, and Ty Lee are all skinny but incredibly powerful. Hell, Aang is is super skinny himself. Bumi is 112 years old. How are you going to judge Toph by her appearance when you're that far into the show?

Great reaction, can’t wait to see more! I’m sure you’ll enjoy everyone’s story and ending, even Azula’s. Excited as always to see someone new take this journey, but it’s also so sad when it ends.

If Azula wasn't a sadist who wanted to relish killing the Avatar up close and personal, and if she had simply blasted Aang with fire from a distance while he was unconscious, she and the Fire Nation could have won right then and there. Fortunately for Aang and the rest of the world, Azula is a very good antagonist, but she does have her faults.

sokka really gets all women. first the knight kyoshi from the Earth Kingdom then the moon princess from the Water Tribe and now one of the female enemies of the Fire Nation if there were any Airbending there surely one of the female monks from the Air Nomads would fall in love with him.

Sokka really outdid himself as the rizz-master in this show. He got the leader of an all female group dedicated to one of the most powerful Avatars ever, an already engaged Princess of the Northern Water Tribe, the talented daughter of a Fire Nation noble despite being enemies, and even the creator of *redacted* (I'd rather not spoil it in case they're reading).

Tunnel drills actually do look like that. Don’t assume it needs to be pointy
