In this video I'll show you the whole-tone scale guitar shapes along the fretboard, why the whole-tone scale exists, and how to use it on the guitar.
The whole-tone scale is most commonly associated with the stereotypical soundbite of a harp during a dream sequence in film or TV.
In this lesson I’ll cover four main points:
1. What the whole-tone scale is
2. What the whole-tone scale is used for
3. The whole-tone scale guitar shapes on the fretboard and how to practice them
4. How we can use the whole-tone scale guitar shapes to improvise over dominant 7th chords and in the context of a longer chord progression
It can be a lot of fun to play with the whole-tone scale and explore its nebulous and unresolved sound.

Exactly! I learned this scale from the song, "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life".
...that means only two different whole tone scales are existing. Thanks a lot for these great lessons! Harmonic major would be interesting as well.

What does the Dominant 7or 9 sharp five mean, I mean what does the 7 or 9 or 11 or 13 represent/ stand for? Is it 7th,9th,11th or 13th fret, I know it is not fingers or strings these numbers stand for something and I can't find anybody to tell me what they stand for. I have seen chord shapes that had either a 9,11and 13 beside them like eg: I'm making this one up G#7/Fb13 what do these numbers mean?

But seriously, emotionless music really emphasizes on the intellectual side of music. It may not make you feel much, but it will make you think.
I'm underrated for saying this. (Accept my statement as I'm not actually complaining, I'm just stating how I see it.) I search on how to make emotionless music, but only get opposite results, and honestly, it's kinda rude. It's like typing in vegan restaurants and they brag about meat. It's like typing in Gospel music, and getting something satanic. Just giving me zero search results would make more sense. Why you trying to sell me opposition.
I don't complain though, I just think it's silly. And I know it is just an algorythm.
