EXACTLY!! Yes, you get it!! VoicePlay is set apart just because of how they are willing to take the risks that the other groups won't. Those guys can stay safe, but VoicePlay will always push the limits, and I respect the heck out of them for that. You can't progress if you're just standing still on safe ground; you have to risk the falls to reach the heights. And VoicePlay is always reaching higher. By far the most artistic group out of all the a cappella stars.

I’ve wondered if somewhere late in 2020, they realized it was going to be awhile-a long while, maybe-before they could tour again, and they decided to really up their game with the videos. They were great before, but damn, every video in 2021 and now this year just keeps getting better in every way, from vocals (I’ve seen huge differences in the timbre and texture of their voices since the early ones last year) to the production values-costumes, effects, everything.

The language that they were singing in, in the second verse, was the dragon language. The "Fus Roh Dah" that they sang is very very iconic in Skyrim. It's the first Shout that you get in Skyrim (also in the dragon language)!

I did warn you this was a double down from Hoist the Colours. This. Was. EPIC! Geoff asked for ideas at the premiere and quite a few of us asked for The Witcher. *fingers crossed* Geoff "only" hit C#1, but since it was by itself in all its glory we got the wow factor. He said Eli hit high E. You did better than I did--I couldn't talk until I'd watched it at least 10 times. First the goosebumps at Geoff's dragon rumble and then my hair stood on end when Omar came in singing in draconic. To quote VoicePlay? Fus ro dah!!

Epic it's the only word. From that 10 second note from Geoff at the start to the harmonies & Layne's beat blows me away every time. Visually also one of their best. The behind the scenes for this was amazing. Cesar's wearing 9kg (20lb) of chainmail & those gauntlets could do some damage. I love the ending we're all off on this journey. I think the language is Dovahzul & the shouts are Draconic but Skyrim is not my thing so I'm sure others know better. 🇬🇧

I'm also a Patron of VP (& Geoff) and I don't know if you have access to the livestream shoots but they are such an amazing perk. As a big gamer I was so excited during the livestream shoot for this when we figured out this was the song they were doing. Also, seeing the costumes & makeup in a lighted room - they were even more amazing than they look in the video. Layne actually had a swath of blue in his hair that you can't really see in the video and he looked so badass. These guys are just out of this world talented. I've stopped saying "this one's my favorite" - they're all my favorites!
