Again: This to be the best commenting channel of any sailing event!
Niall does an awesome job explaining the intricacies.
Loved the comment about finishing an ocean race and you are either best friends or you walk away from each other.
I have watched all the previous race shows going back to the first ocean race. That example of the book the boat and the wind was the most simple and clear explanation for sea state I have seen. Thank you and Well done.
Diese Kommentare sind Klasse. Man wird sehr gut informiert. Ich bin begeistert. Ich segle in allen Booten gleichzeitig mit.
Love the book analogy, Niall -- A visual demonstration that explained the situation. Well done. Cheers
Thanks for recapping the terms used and what that means. Great education!!! Keep it up.
You have your finger on the pulse of this race. 👏
Beautiful, exotic, fast sailboats, sailed by dedicated crew. I remember having those same thoughts some 50+ years ago when I sailed my little boat into Newport in the middle of that summer when Dennis Conner kept the Cup in those beautiful 12 meters!
Good to know the new crew members' credentials and how they "fit". Tight hard and fast team work. Rosie a delight as ever. Fascinating to have fast boats and crews so well matched. So exciting. (Another Greg😂)
Thanks so much for the insights - you were greatly missed!! Rough and scary ride, but outstanding sailors up for challenging the forceful and unforgiving elements. So brave and passionate, simply amazing!!!
Great explaining of conditions and such an exciting race. Greg 🇬🇧
Niall, exciting explanation of the weather ahead.
Nice Port/Starboard trousers Niall.
Thank you for another insightful commentary! I'm still thinking of what struck the Holcim boat and if now there is a whale swimming around with a big lump or gash on its head... 🐳

Nothing struck the Holcim boat, the Holcim boat struck the whale. The whale is probably dead. The exclusion zones in this area are to try to protect the whales, but they hit the whales all the time.
Trogladyte's use hammocks an the pendulum ❤
How much money do the crews make? How long before the start of the Ocean Race did the crews have to be committed to the boat full time? Was it weeks or months if training?
Where’s the gate for the 1st 5 points? Or are all 10 awarded at the finish?
Tiraram a legenda em português. Porquê?
Don't you just hate it when you get a dead whale stuck on your keel? 11th hour seems to be the only boat the hand holds the jib sheet all the time. It looks like Biotherm really, really, really missed the bus on this front.
Team Malizia will win because they have the lovely Rosalin Kuiper onboard. Seriously, I could endure a demasting and still be smiling because of her charm. :)

That sounds painful… 😂

If your mast is down you are definitely not enjoying female charmes.
Hope they didnt hit a poor whale :-(
la traduccion al espanol un desastre
Cannot help it, it is somehow a very boring leg. Brutal, yes, but you can feel the exhaustion which leads to mediocre content, even from Malizia. And sorry Niall, Enright's slurring origins from his sleep-deprivation, you should have the guts to name it what it is.
