as someone who will probably never be able to visit Whitby, I thank you for taking me along on your visit.

In the book,there is beautiful description of Whitby,the bay,the view of the sunset from the seat above the bay,where Lucy and Mina sits.The sunset with. the golden and other shades is written so beautifully u want to visit the place

Was in Whitby last week - disappointed to see that the DE was closed for maintenance - which I recall was the same when we last visited about 20 years ago ! That is a lot of time to deal with maintenance ! Perhaps next time ?
