I just got my 12" Plush Beds mattress, size California King. It's very soft and comfortable so I'm glad I bought the mattress even though it cost more than I wanted to spend. The only CON for the mattress is it weighs 203 pounds. Yes, you read that right 203 lbs.

Without a shred of doubt, nothing beats a natural latex mattress

Trying to understand how a latex mattress will impact someone with latex allergies. I want a natural mattress but also have an allergy against latex (like rubber gloves).

The Prana mattresses are made with imported natural talalay latex. From Radium in the Netherlands. The rubber latex protein that causes the allergy is chemically removed by changing the molecular structure. Putting it in a vacuum with co2. Freezing the sap. Rinsing and naturally removing the allergenic protein. Then cooked with heating rods to provide consistent feel in the latex blended foam. If it was dangerous to people with allergies. These beds wouldn't exist. Liability would be insane and it could hurt you. Prana Sleep is the best in luxury mattresses. And there is no danger of allergy. Being a customer whom also has a latex allergy. I sleep on the super vinyasa plush. It is the best bed I've ever owned. so good I bought an additional for my guest room. Now I can't get my mother-in-law to leave. City mattress offers the best pricing. It makes all the national brand beds feel like cheap garbage. Make the educated decision.

I'm considering a latex mattress with three interchangeable layers. They are D50, 65, and 75. I have chronic pain. Will that softness be supportive enough? Thank you.

Hi Sita, the sheep's wool that is used in natural latex mattresses is thoroughly washed before it gets used as a padding material for natural latex mattresses. The wool won't have any odor but the latex might have a faint, inoffensive odor. I can't speak about all manufacturers, as their latex is sourced from various places that all have different manufacturing processes. Most natural latex mattresses that I've tried do not alter the smell of your room and only have a faint smell if you put your face right into the mattress. Additionally, since your latex mattress will have a cover and sheets, it is unlikely that it will have any noticeable smell, providing that it is 100% natural.

I got a tallalay 4 inch topper and when the base fails I will go all latex. I feels so wonderful for bones etc. love it. Regular mattresses have gotten more expensive and lower in durability. They are junk. Go latex. It will last so much longer and stay in good condition.

Best advice for buying a mattress

I have to disagree with the “no off-gassing” comment. Initially there’s definitely a strong latex smell but it dissipates in a couple of days. You might want to air it out in a different room of your house. Without a doubt the latex mattress is the best mattress I’ve ever slept on.

Indeed, there will be a faint latex smell when you first get your mattress. In this video, "offgassing" refers to toxic VOCs that may offgas from materials like polyurethane, polyester and fire-retardant chemicals. Natural materials like cotton, wool and natural latex all carry an odor, especially when new. The smell you pick up when sleeping on the mattress depends on whether or not you are using a mattress cover, the thickness of your sheets, the bedroom's ventilation and your sensitivity to smell. The smell of the natural components is non-toxic, but may be offensive to some. In some rare cases, the faint smell of latex may cause an allergic reaction.

100% natural latex mattresses have a pleasant scent reminiscent of vanilla. The bad rubber smell comes from synthetic or synthetic blend latex mattresses.

Literally Im enjoying my sleep on tis.... 😴 quiet expensive, heavy but durable

Linenspa queen is rudely 250$. There's only like 2 inches of latex then coils underneath but is a solid 8 inch mattress. There's other options on there site like 10 and 12 inch under 700

Hi Jacob, Linenspa does not manufacture a single natural latex mattress. The 10-inch Linenspa mattress you are referring to only has a token amount of "latex foam rubber". Here is the proportional representation of all the materials in this mattress: Linenspa 10-inch mattress Materials 51% Polyurethane Foam 30% Polyester Fiber 9% Latex Foam Rubber 7% Rayon Fiber 3% Polypropylene Fiber Coil Spring Unit There is no mention that the 9% latex latex foam rubber is natural or third party certified. Basically, if you are looking for 100% natural latex mattress, any Linenspa mattress is a terrible choice and you shouldn't even consider it. Linenspa mattresses are made from petrochemical derived materials from top to bottom exept for the metal coils. I agree. There are many benefits to choosing a natural latex mattress over a polyurethane mattress. As mentioned in the video, the downsides have to do with mattress weight, higher cost, difficulty in moving a natural all-latex mattress etc.

Yes they are better.
