the 1.5 was so fun but it had to be removed because of how it literally changed how the game was played

As someone who started in year 2 and was deathly familiar with the OG acog, this new season feels like I’m playing the old game again I started playing all those years ago. The TDM meta made me quit the game for almost two years but I now actually enjoy the game again, with some of my favorite old acogs returning and the new grip changes which makes running ops like Blackbeard fun again

Would you consider doing an in-depth history on the TDM meta? I know this video covered one aspect of it, but I think it’d be cool to see the other changes in utility that led to the more gunfight-orientated gameplay.

Twitch should get grips now that 1.5 is out it would be a strong weapon but need skill because of the magnification

rip 1.5 now became obese and chunky into 2.5 ( but acog and Russian acog is still better than that)

Nah its still competitive with the ACOG and I do think the 1.5 will make a comeback in a few season when people stop having rose tinted glasses. But it is still a significant nerf to the sight that was necessary for the games future

In a game where you have to be committed to every choice you make, here's this scope that gives you zoom and a high fov at the same time. 1x Gives you fov but no zoom ACOG gives you high zoom but reduced fov Then there's the 1.5x which gives you both. It just stood out like a sore thumb and removing it is probably for the best.

It's crazy how fun the 1.5 was though. (I started playing during shadow legacy so I don't know the feel of old siege. in the past couple years I've probally dropped 2k hours into the game lmao)

Underrated video. Very well done. I was using a holographic on Warden for the end of last season and every game someone on my team was wondering why I was running a holo instead of the 1.5. Just told em I'm getting ready for next season. I still get plenty of 3 pieces with Warden just running a holo, the MPX slams man

Awesome summary! Question for you, as if I see it those changes bringing the ACOG back on so many Defenders increases the win-rate espeically on certain maps of the Defenders so much. I think Defense was always above Attacker due to the fact that the time is on your side but with these changes some takes from certain Bomb-sites gets extremly hard cause you most of the time see like 3/5+ ACOGs on the Defender team. My current Elo is Emerald, playing with some Diamonds and Masters sometimes. Would be nice to hear your thoughts on this!

I have been waiting for this video, your video about the acog is what got me interested in your channel. This video however is much better in terms of quality, you really improved a lot since that video.

Yeah I've focused a lot more editing over the past year or so. My editing when i started out was simple, and my storytelling in editing kind of sucked, but I feel like I'm a lot better at that now. Still got a long way to go though

Crazy that this sight was the perfect tool for every job. It warped the game around it. Having the choice between 1x and zoom scopes matter again is actually so huge for the game imo. I think the 1.5 casing will find new life as a 2.5x and will prolly be a good option there. Its casing is really thin. But i’m happy i can run NATO acog on all my guns again :)

You forgot to mention that old acog and today's acog is a bit different, pre-shadow legacy Acogs were 3x and after shadow legacy they made it a 2.5x. You can compare them with Kaid's/Nomad's pistol as it gives a different sight zoom (They were the same at launch)

i only ever used the 1.5 on ops that didn’t have an acog. now that it’s back, i haven’t touched the 1.5. acog 🔛🔝

I used the 1.5 on attack but on defence i play mira fenrir and solis sometimes valk.. i dont really like the acog scope too much and lately ive found myself using red dot c on 90% of all my guns

The 1.5 was the best by far, the people who didn’t like it are the new players who have been playing for like 3 seasons or the people who just died to it 🤣

I didn't like it but not because it was bad, I just didn't like it because of what it did to the game. Started playing in Alpha. When I came back and people said the meta was JUST SHOOT, I couldn't even comprehend it. That's inherently the opposite of what siege is about. Even during season 1 when acog was on everything and had super fast ads time, it still felt utility based. I hated the TDM meta more than any other chapter of this game (including Grim Sky aka Operation DDOS).

Its been really funny watching people try and play the acog like the 1.5x and getting fried lol Edit: Always good to see G getting used in a vid. G is a great youtuber

The player count is bugged. When you close the game it’s technically still open I’m the background and steam counts you as “playing”. It’s the same bug as the last time the player count record was broken.

You should talk about the 3.0x scope

Removing the 1.5 was a good decision, but I honestly would have preferred if every operator got every sight including the 1.5 and tachanka's exclusive reflex sight.

I dont think the change is so bad that we can call it a "nerf". The magnification is still pretty similar. On paper acog and 1.5x may have the same stats, but comparing them u realise that the acog is way more zoomed in and clearly cant see much outside the scop (bcs of how big and zoomed in it is). I would argue the behavier towards 1.5x actually shouldnt have changed. But Im gold so my perception might differ from urs, still imo it is the same. It still offers good fov and good zoom at the same time.

The slow movement killed the game

It’s better this way, strategic gameplay is what made R6 special. If you want to just run and gun then there are hundreds of other brainless fps games cough COD cough cough. Or hell, play R6 but just run a 1x.

To be completely honest I like the new change. I feel like the 1.5 was very good but people would play certain operators just because they have a weapon with the 1.5. And I think that the 1.5 needed a change instead of just turning into a 2.5.

I’m happy the 1.5 is gone but like why remove the 2.0. I use to run that on ace all the time 😭😭😭

I dont mind them removing it but the ads speed change and grip reworks are what is bad about this season. But thats ubisoft they just nerf things into the ground. Along with removing grenade mechanics a couple months ago they are literally making the game more like cod and thats what everyone was complaining about. Sorry not everyone just newer players or not so good players.

Everybody is talking about the 1.5x scope, but I'm missing the 2x scope.

The 1.5 was such a fun sight to use, but it was destroying the game and I believe it sparked the 3rd worst meta we've been in. The 2 that are worse are the smoke glaz meta and the lmg meta because those were just ridiculous. Great to see the game is beginning to slow down to a tactical pace once again.

Honestly I don’t think is necessary to remove anything I think every gun should have a acog sight on siege tbh with you (and btw in real life you can ads fast in real life then siege I don’t understand how slow u have to ads on siege it’s stupid so unrealistic) but every gun should have a acog so they can make the game fun and honestly balanced….in a way if they want to nerf and buff stuff they should look more into gadgets first more then anything 💁

TDM meta and gadget meta are both bad. TDM for obvious reason, game is meant to be tactical. But gadget meta is bad too because I really don't want to get back to the point of having to spend 2 minutes of round on just clearing the entire building of mines, melusi, cams, drones and spend a minute trying back and forth to open the wall when enemy now has kaid, tubarao and bandit. If game comes back to the old "20 seconds" meta it's not going to be any better than TDM

Ubisoft made the right decision.

Because it was too perfect. It had no drawbacks. The other sights either have no zoom which makes long distance fights disadvantaged, or a lot of zoom which makes close range disadvantaged. The 1.5 was a middle ground between the two, which just made it objectively the best, especially considering how little space it takes up on the screen and the amazing reticle. I never liked it.

I think the 1.5 was an amateur addition by ubi. Everything in a game like Siege should be give and take. The 1.5 was just all good and no bad, it's embarrassing that it was in the game for so long.
