True words . Bollywood do not have good scripts. They busy in promoting gay movies and farah and Karan film who always believes only film actors and rich producers directors kids are talented. But we south Indian belives even hotel supplier road side vegetable seller and even ordinary bus driver son(Yash) can become hero.

Govinda was the biggest in 90s and now he is irrelevant and that's the only reason why people want to know that what happened to his career that such a big superstar is now struggling to get roles. If we find out why, then maybe we can avoid making such mistakes in our life. If no one talks about his downfall, that doesn't mean that his downfall doesn't exist, and if people talk about it that doesn't mean that everyone is making fun of him.

Many Main leads of 80s and 90s have transitioned into strong supporting roles like Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff etc. Don't know why Govinda hasn't been doing supporting roles after a successful stint as a top lead.

Jim Carrey and Govinda had their own era where they absolutely shined. But everything which has a beginning has an end.

Govinda is a legend. No doubt about it. I feel he failed to change with changing times. There was a sudden shift in the audience taste with movies like Lagaan, Dil Chahta hai, Hera-Pheri, onset of multiplex in the 2000s, etc. Unfortunately Govinda continued with the same content which somehow lost appeal. A similar shift has begun now with OTT driving more content. Even the Khans are scratching their heads. Probably they are looking to adapt and change too. Unfortunately for Govinda the shift was too soon and the adaption never happened. Even now he is in the same zone going by the content he releases in his youtube channel. However, as a 90s kid will forever be a Chi Chi fan. Govinda-David dhawan phase can never be recreated.

Don't say khans man. Aamir has been the reason of change for three decades. Dude was doing tapoori acts in rangeela to performances with zero fluff in sarfaroosh in 90s, had the best filmography in 00s of any actor and did dangal in 10s. Govinda needed more versatility, barely any of his movies have aged well that you dont cringe today.

I am talking about Khans recent and latest failures post the arrival of OTT in general be it Zero, Antim, Radhe, etc. Even Aamir's Thugs was a failure though I liked the movie. I am sure he will be back with Laal Singh.

@@ShaitaaN_raju it was no ego. Govinda was famous for his unprofessional behavior, coming late to sets by hours, keeping his costars waiting. Your can't continue like that when the hits stop coming. Also his ego was so big that he never made the transition to more performance related roles, he wanted to continue the hero no 1 type roles. It was his ego, unprofessional behavior etc which led to his downfall. And this is very well documented even at the height of his popularity, stop blaming others for govindas fault.

Govinda's carrer in nutshell Swarg - most emotional Dulhe raja - Most comic Sandwich - evil side Bade miya chote miyan - Overtaking Peak Amitabh bachchan in acting. These are mere 1% example of the legend

I think the problem is not him being the main lead but the content of the movie and age of the character, he can easily be main lead with middle age character of professor like shahruk khan In Dear Zindagi movie. Or successfully businessman with a wife and children, all he has to do is to avoid playing characters young than 40 years, he could also still use his iconic dance but in more settled way not dancing on street with 20 years old girl, He needs to learn from Mohanlal who is even older than him but still does many great movies as a lead actor because he always plays characters around his age

I was travelling from Dehradun to Delhi and co- incidentally Mr. Aashish Vidyarthi was in the same flight ...i was trying to put my cabin baggage in the overhead bin when he turned around and helped me with it ..that's when I recognised him . Then in the bus ride people were trying to take selfie with him...he got a little annoyed ( afterall even celebs need privacy) . But there too he offered me a seat since I was standing...a thorough gentleman!

Got a great lesson on life today....Life is never said that *I will gone be fair with you,till it works it fair...when it doesn't work you said it's unfair* Life is like that. Life just happens. Thanks TRS and Ashish sir .

Every actor has its own fate and charisma..Sanju's career has ended many years ago bcoz of his indiscipline and legal matters.... Salman is an exception in bollywood.... Despite having zero acting skills, zero talent, too many legal cases and controversies even then public loves him.... U know why?? Bcoz of his Powerful Pr agency...His agency turned this monster into a being human and covered all his bad blood and make him a superstar..... But now times have changed a lot.... Agar aap Priyadarshan, david dhawan and neeraj vohra sir ki movies dekhoge to unme bhht long shots hote the bhoolbhulaiyaa, hera pheri, dhol, chup chup ke, hungama etc inme bhht one take and long shots hote the kyuki zyadatar movies ka screenplay Neeraj vohra ji likhte the and vo dialogues bhht lambe lambe hote the thats why hungama 2 movie flop sabit hui bcz Neeraj vohra's is missing in that project.

Yes! Neeraj vohra showed us how writing is done in comedy movies. Bollywood didn't learn from him.

This man....I still don't know his name....used to b a wonderful actor, a pathological villain. I thought in real life he was a tough street guy lucky to have carved a niche ( borrowing his favourite word) for himself in ruthless world of bollywood. Now I find him a well educated and a well-read intellectual who can speak so well. Life has many surprises...always.
