Strange video. Contrary to what you are saying about Gonzalo I think u are the one loosing touch with reality. The guy made fantastic content. He gave Excellent advice for young men on many life topics that are relevant to them. He specifically stated that he made those videos basically for his kids cause he didn’t think he would be around when they would need this advice. He was also a believer of free speech. He couldn’t leave Ukraine cause he got arrested for what he said. Then he tried to flea and he got arrested and imprisoned and so on and so forth. You should show this man some respect. He produced fabulous content and was way more entertaining than yourself. I only listened to your video because of his name. Only writing a comment cause your narrative makes me react. Like I said show the man some respect , get your facts straight and make the correct and logical conclusions

Gonzalo said many times that he achieved in life what he wanted to achieve. (He owned a brand new G wagon) was socially very successful and didn't have any expectations from life. He had put all his time and effort in combating the satanic west narrative which he thought was morally bankrupt

That’s a testament to his life as a CRP coach. His advice was radical and he himself complained about being demonetized by KZread. Why he went to reporting about politics taking a critical view of his own country’s policy. I agree with this creator that his internet fame got to his head and he felt it was important to tell the world of Ukraine corruption. He should have found more stable forms of income. Maybe spending more time with his own family. Maybe move back to his father’s country, Chile. Who knows? Sad but clearly his demise was avoidable.

I don’t know if this is true or not but I heard a rumor that CRP/Gonzalo Lira had some heart condition and had a few years max to live. This would sort of explain it maybe he just had an end life crisis and wanted to die a martyr or something crazy. This makes more sense to me then anything else. Whatever happened to him it was pretty brutal he looks 20 years older. His actions seem like someone desperate for some sort of meaning in life. I think he was hoping that this war would give him a last sense of fulfillment

Fact of the matter is that Lira managed to make contact with John Mark Dugan who offered to get Lira out of Ukraine. Dugan knew people who had successfully smuggled people out of Ukraine before. Firstly, Lira was told that his motorcycle would have to be left behind. Lira refused. Secondly, Lira was told to keep the details a secret. Lira didn't. Lira went and communicated with other people that Dugan was helping him to get out. Dugan found out that the person Lira was speaking to was known to be untrustworthy and unreliable. Dugan had no choice but to back out or risk having people he knew get in trouble with the authorities. Of course it doesn't help that Lira smoked despite the fact that he had known for some years that he had a heart condition.... but I suppose it's easier to blame Ukraine instead.

I found his channel in a middle of a depression of divorce . I found that all his videos about women nature to be true and it helped a lot to overcome my dark night thru correcting my wrong beliefs about female nature . Some of his videos were so rich in knowledge that I shared the to my teen daughters. Then he started to talk about politics and lost interest. I don't follow politics, but I know he speaks truth and if he is in jail because his speech I am not surprised. Jesus did the same thing and ended up dead in a cross. All people who are awaking other are being silenced by the one who governs this planet. We all know this fact . Since we all know there is no need to awake people in public . Gonzalo's Roundtable discussions on geopolitics using his contacts were some of the best on the internet. No one since has picked up this banner. I find it pretty audacious that some progressives find Gonzalo to be amoral, as it's abit of the pot calling the kettle black. I do agree that he should've tried a "Sound of Music" escape, instead of using an Ukraine/ Hungary checkpoint.

Look: my two cents on this. The war changed us all. As did the pan de mic. These great global conflicts change everybody’s life. This is just an extreme case. But I could mention a lot of KZreadrs that totally changed their narrative. I even saw people on the right and left come together for or against a position on this war. Every political/social related KZread channel took a position on this. I will tell you my case, which is not important, but may help. I befriended a lot of right-wing liberals (neocons) during the vi rus. But then, when this all happened I took distance from them and became far more conservative and “warmonger”. My reason: I loved Russian culture since very young and their country had close historical relationships with mine (Argentina). So, this is not the exception, this is more like the rule. It’s a history’s turning point, as they call them, and it changes us all, whether we like it or not, whether we’re conscious thereof or not. Great video. R I P Gonzalo. And also R I P people from the other side. Good manners don’t take bravery away, as we here say.

You're missing out A LOT of details here and I think it's giving you a somewhat skewed impression of the situation.I'll fill it with what I know. He owns three apartments in Ukraine, one of these now belongs to his ex-wife and family. He had traveled to Ukraine as a sex tourist, would later meet his second wife, who then divorced him over quite serious domestic abuse allegations. He was arrested the first time for taking pictures of Ukranian defensive positions around Kherson, the police seized his cameras and laptop and found he had been communicating with either pro-Russian, or actual Russian (unclear which) individuals who had advertised money in exchange for locations and pictures of UA defensive positions. During interrogation he allegedly gave up the names of several others who were involved and was given the option of remaining in Ukraine under house arrest to face trial at a later date, or be deported. According to local police he originally chose house arrest, but became paranoid that RU forces were coming to assassinate him for giving up those names so asked to be deported. He was put on a train to Poland. Sometime after he started to claim he was *still* in Ukraine but refused to offer any evidence of this. During a different situation, a girl who ran a podcast interviewing various Pro-Russian voices in the Ukraine war, who claimed to be a Jewish girl living in Donbass, was found to actully be an American national living in Washington state. She was indentified as being part of a group which had leaked classified intel to Russia Today and was arrested. During interigation she allegedly gave-up the location of Gonzalo Lira, proving that he was infact still living in Ukraine. He was arrested again and this time charged with illegal immigration, intent to disrupt the war effort, and to provide intelligence to a forgin power at the risk to national security. He was later released on bail awaiting trail and was told not to leave the region, but would later live stream himself cycling to the Hungarian border with the intent to seek asylum. He was arrested as the border crossing, handed back to Ukranian police, and currently resides in an open air prison just outside of Lviv.

In the final analysis, I think that this information (If completely correct) changes my opinion of Lira from a person that took some questionable decisions in Ukraine to someone that really really went out of his way to fuck himself over. But I don't think that it clashes directly with the thesis of "Amoral, inelligent people can easily become deatached from reality". Since the West supports Ukraine for their "freedom" and "Western values" he did not shut his mouth and showed how false and delusory the West's agenda is. I think, he is totally in touch with reality and it's a shame, that the States do not interfere at all. It also shows that free speech as a Western value does not exist anymore.

I don't think Ukraine was purely contrarian - although you are right that is a big trap for the right. I remember when the Trump hearing started I - as an European - was kind of flabberghasted that they were arguing about an insignificant and probably highly corrupt eastern European nation. I guess had I paid attention to such politics, which generally don't interest me, it wouldn't be that surprising. In retrospect I think it is indeed kind of like in the video game Victoria 2. As a big nation you can pour influence a small nation to get it as an ally. So in the case of say Java it could be both Britain and Japan trying to win and, well, the loser of that race might just try to invade. And I think that kind of happened here. Except that the US seems to be split between two different houses who are infighting. And I've come to understand that my countries government will always be on the side of the Democrats. Well ... coincidentally of course. So, yeah, I'm not happy about it, being dragged into a proxy war for people who certainly do not have my best interests at heart. Does that make me pro-russian? No, but of course I would not mention my opinion in public. So that's a nice red pill, I guess, the world is a video game and we are the npcs. Colonialism v2. Anyway, as for CRP, I agree, he was very unhinged in that time. We can only speculate what brought him there. But I guess we can say it in the words of that one musician. Perhaps he thought it is better to burn out than to fade away. Did it work? I think not. Still an interesting piece of internet history.

I listened to him because I had similar opinions on things like vaccines and NATO. I did hate his dating advice when it went amoral, so I believe I wrote critical comments at those times, but it wasn't very shocking because the amorality has been common with American men and dating coaches for decades. I always found that women hated moral advice, and men might listen to it, but they would reject it as being impractical when dealing with women. They were convinced that if they didn't do what women expected, even amoral and immoral things, they would never find a woman. They were sort of right about that because American women violently hated a moral approach - it wasn't television and movies enough for them.

Im angloamerikanischen Raum sagt man "the juice ain't worth the squeeze anymore". Es gibt ein Sprichwort, scheinbar aus Afrika, welches mir dazu passend erscheint: "The boy who has not been embraced by society, will burn down the village to feel it's warmth." "It's better to burn out than to fade away." (Neil Young)

Gonzalo has always been as transparent and straigh-forward as the best journalists. Frankly, an outstanding character from a myriad of perspectives. The oversimplification and arrogance shown here are beyond arrogant pathetic. I would strongly suggest studying the source (it Will be worth your while!), and considering THIS source objectively, for what it is.

Lira said in the video he made trying to cross the border in Hungary that when he was detained the first time, the inmates told him that the Ukrainians had left the door open for Lira to leave. Apparently he asked to be deported and according to Lazer Pig the Ukrainian authorities deported Lira in June/July 2022. Lira went back and got caught all for that internet clout.

I agree with this assessment. I'm a female but I used to listen to him from 2017 - 2019. He had some interesting things to say. I'm starting a KZread channel and there was something inspirational about his early videos when he filmed in London. But I stopped following him a few years before he became completely unhinged. I'm not sure why he stayed in the Ukraine. He should have gotten out far sooner. Maybe he thought he was invincible. I saw him on a video with The Unplugged Alpha this year and he looked unwell. I'm not a fan of this person, but for his sake, I pray he and his family are alive and well somewhere.

As someone who has watched him for years, the only conclusion I can draw is that he is a smart man, but he is a fool. His rights in America don’t apply to other parts of the world. While the US Gov is fully deserving of criticism, don’t let it blind you to the reality that citizens do have more rights than those of other countries.

I personally thought that he was still alive I saw a KZread video that he had made after he had got captured. So sad I didn't know he was deceased . Although I didn't agree with everything that he said , I know he meant well and he was a very intelligent man, anytime a person dies it's a huge loss at least he wasn't afraid to voice his opinions no matter how unpopular some of his opinions were ridiculous and some of his opinions were true, and when it came to women he forgot to mention that there's two sides to every coin, this also of course applies to men . All in all he was a very sincere man who spoke with conviction, I will definitely miss seeing what he would have said next.😢Rip Gonzalo

What we can learn from this story, three weeks after Gonzalo Lira died in an Ukranian prison hospital after months of torture, beatings and neglect, is that he died for the right of freedom of speech and thought, which is a cornerstone of democracy. And you sir, have provided with this video one of the nails in his coffin. You got blood on your hands. Hope you can live with that thought. It won´t wipe off.

Dude was kinda stupid. Freedom Of Speech goes out the window when a state of emergency is declared. Ukraine is in a state of emergency due to invasion by a foreign power. Lira was a dummy! He made pro Russian and pro Putin statements while trashing Ukraine and its government while living in a nation that was the target of invasion.

The pneumothorax he suffered from in the end, and which helped cause his death, was not caused by his chain smoking, but by the repeated beatings and punches on his chest he received while in prison. And as he said in his last video shortly before he got arrested, he was tortured, deprived of sleep, and punched and beaten around by the prisoners on the orders of the SBU guards. I find your logic congruent with the fact that the existence of a hospital in Auschwitz show how humane the SS were with the concentration camp inmates. You know what? You seriously need professional help.
