Watching this prompted my parents to make a visit. We visited the following year 1988. Over the next 30 years I attended in many capacities from paying visitor to Showmans engine driver and a Show volunteer. Several momentous life events happening to me here at the third largest town in Dorset. #happymemories #Stourpane #SteamForEver

I was here the year after (1988). And twenty years before, I went on those very steam yachts at Harewood. I got very seasick.

Michael Oliver quote we weren't know for good weather ha ha yes he was right I remember my father exhibiting at the early Stourpaine shows with Poole and district model railway society and having to be pulled up the hill to the road to get out This has bought back many happy memories and also from tarrant Hinton in later years as I haven't been now for about 5 years due to living in Thailand but I will be back for another show someday

I'd love to know the names of the organ music we hear in this. Especially the one used at the end.

If you look at 34:30 you can see the steam gallopers which Carters now run.

VintageLynx Those are Noyce's gallopers, which are still with the same owners, and Harry Lee's yachts are now with the Saunders Collection. John Carter bought his gallopers in the 1970s. Nice film though, I have it on betamax somewhere.
