That is a pretty nifty unit for under $300. It makes my Fender Floor look like an avocado colored dial phone complete with a party line. (Did they have those in Merry Old?). Using the single coils was great for the demo, I’m sure it would rock even more with hummers. Cheers!

Cheers Brad! That made me laugh! And yes they did, multi effects have come a long way indeed! I used to have a plastic Korg unit way back, time they are a changin’ cheers!

Hi Derek, I really do like the look of this unit. It appears very well thought and the variety of options seems truly mind blowing. In terms of VFM, this looks like a class leader at any level, 80 amps? I didn't know there were 80 amps in the world which says a lot for this unit and not much for my product knowledge 😉 I'm not really a huge fan of multi's, my venerable Boss GT-8 was capable of some excellent sounds but for me it took too much in a live environment to tweak them but it seems the new generation of multi's are far more 'live performance ' orientated so who knows, maybe it's time to give them a try out and the Donner looks a good place to start. Bought one of these and was impressed but ended up returning it. Slick interface and great customization but just always sounded too thin no matter what amp I used or how I dialed it in. This thing is screaming to have it's own power amp.

Okay… I’ve owned tons of gear and multi effects and now I got this Arena 2000. How do I start with IRs? I never bothered playing with IRs but feel I might be missing out… where do I get those!?

Easiest way is to google free IRs, there are plenty out there and then play around with them.

With the expression pedal can you have it be both a volume pedal and then switch to a wah wah pedal using your foot to go in between the two? Or are they totally separate and have to pick either one or the other?

You can certainly get it to do both, but I’m not sure about switching it during a performance for example!

hi, ask, there's a hiss in background, i notice especially when you play modulations and reverb/delay, is that hiss from your setup or it comes from the arena?

@@DerekPaulGuitar thx! New subscriber! nice editing and order of arrangement of the parts, normally videos of this type are very redundant.

I bought one of these and it didn't do it for me until I uploaded my own IR's to it. Fek me this thing really sound good with some decent IR's pulling it's insides. The presets are always a bit meh... Honestly IR's are the future.

I'm trying to install an IR in one of the slots and it says my .wav file isn't a PCM format. Which, of course, it is. What file format IR did were you able to load?

@@Brody-Dolyniuk .wav should work. Make sure the file extension is definitely .wav and not something like .IR.wav. I did find some IR's that wouldn't work but for the most part they worked really well. Persevere with it. I promises you won't be disappointed. Turns this machine into a monster.

Presets always sound bad on multi-effects units. I've used Zoom, Line 6, Vox, Digitech, DOD, they all needed adjustments. Usually the drastic volume differences between patches, tone controls because some had too much bass while others sound had too much treble, and the effects are always too intense.

I find that too, they always need tweaking out of the box!

When demoing the drives it would have been better to have disengaged whatever modulation was going on
