The Doll Factory’s Assembly Line (1963) | British Pathé

BRITISH PATHÉ'S STORY
Before television, people came to movie theatres to watch the news. British Pathé was at the forefront of cinematic journalism, blending information with entertainment to popular effect. Over the course of a century, it documented everything from major armed conflicts and seismic political crises to the curious hobbies and eccentric lives of ordinary people. If it happened, British Pathé filmed it.
Now considered to be the finest newsreel archive in the world, British Pathé is a treasure trove of 85,000 films unrivalled in their historical and cultural significance.
British Pathé also represents the Reuters historical collection, which includes more than 136,000 items from the news agencies Gaumont Graphic (1910-1932), Empire News Bulletin (1926-1930), British Paramount (1931-1957), and Gaumont British (1934-1959), as well as Visnews content from 1957 to the end of 1984. I used to be so afraid of these things when I was a child for seemingly no reason. They just make me feel like they're going to attack me at night back. Looking at this now, it's kinda cute and pretty satisfying watching them make these dolls.

I was scared of them attacking me at night too, I didn't play with dolls or have any, preferred teddy bears.

I've always LOVED dolls, but never had any until I was fairly old (ahem) as my dear hubby began to buy them for me as Christmas and birthday gifts. I really enjoyed seeing how they are made. Now I have a doll collection on shelves, dolls in chairs....(along with teddy bears). Dolls make me feel HAPPY!! :-)

Not every kid, my goddaughter loves older styled dolls, she’s loved them since she was a baby, currently she’s five and has so many dolls, her favourite being a vintage African American baby doll that she’s had since she was one, picked out by herself

They aren’t cute, they are creepy af. I have one of these and I already thought they are scary even before watching horror movies. I always made it face the wall every time I sleep, until finally I donated it and got rid of it for good. Finally, a peaceful sleep.

Back when things in Great Britain were made in Great Britain... the same for in the USA were made in the USA. In fact, back when things were made in the country that would be sold to. This is why I sell costumes and paintings in the country I am in to keep the economy within my own nation. Economies die when jobs are exported. Then again the monetary-market system isn't exactly true economy.
