Search For Uhuru , I’m here 3 years later. I hope you got the chance to return in Mali and I had the chance to visit the south. The Mande tradition. The griot villages. They have good music. By the way the one that was translating dogon to Bambara was struggling. The one from Bambara to english was good,. In the Dogons country they do have lot of guides for tourist In sangha and I’m sure some speak English. Many young dogons are very educated . They study hard and attend universities in the city.

I exist bro, I'm a vegan and I'm a born African, I never left Africa and I never adopted it from the Europeans, I on my own became adware of it and its not because I can't afford meat but I saw the need for it. If you wanna meet me I can hook u up and see for your self. African eats meat traditionally and they don't have such concept but for me in my experience for growth I have come to that realization of not eating meat on my own believe and not even tagging it vegetarian or vegan, its just that that's the word one can use to describe the practice because its already known by many. If you ask me I wouldn't say I'm a vegan but I simply just don't eat meat for a reason known to me and also believed by others who say they are vegetarians and vegans.

My grandmother, who I met twice in my life, once too young to remember and second time, aged 18. Revealed to us (her grandchildren living in the west) about her diet. Although she wasn’t vegan vegan she refused to eat animal. Even more interesting she never ate fried foods (which is now believe was introduced to us by the colonisers) all boiled or steamed or ate raw. She was a pan African. She refused to visit the cities towns after M’zungu showed up. She only lived in her village and neighbouring country villages. She died at 93 years old from a leg injury (cow kicking her while she worked in the field) after refusing to be taken to the hospital. If it wasn’t for that cow injury I’m sure she’ll be alive because her body structure had no hunchback and she walked with no aid, so much so she worked in her own fields. Rest in Peace Ambuya Mayani 💔

Veganism is ancient like the beginning of time, if you believe in creation. In creation, the diet was plant based. Eating meat came after "the fall." The 1st documented man ate meat out of survival. Meat shouldnt be consumed everyday, but during specia holidays.l Regardless of where veganism originates, our bodies age better on a mostly plant based diet.

You're right! West Afrikans are NOT vegetarians. In East Afrika, particularly in Ethiopia, there are more vegetarians. And vegetarianism is strictly western, but you'll find vegetarians in some places in Afrika. I am a vegetarian/vegan - here in Amerikkka because of health. I have actually become a food minimalist because I don't trust the foods here. When I'm in Afrika, I had to eat meat and realize that my vegetarianism is going to end when I move to Afrika. Foods are definitely much healthier and fresher in the indigenous areas more than the cities but in Afrika on a whole. Dogon country is sooo beautiful! I can't wait to go there.

As far as I can tell, veganism is a concept that came from India. It is inspect of their traditional spiritual practices, had nothing to do so much with any concept of health. Americans and Europeans grabbed on to it in the 20th century and then made it into this whole other thing which took it out of context.... just like they've done with yoga. I do believe that going organic is a good idea though for the sake of health, but I'm not going to kill myself over it. I was a vegan for many years. I had to stop because traveling... It was impossible a lot of the time to find anything to eat. I don't do most red meat, but I do eat chicken and fish. I don't really have the taste for beef anymore and it feels heavy and greasy in my stomach. I just roll with what my body likes.

Great work my brother, its nice to hear from the source that veganism is a European concept. Africans In the west love to paint pictures of what the content is by spreading mis information. There is no vegan or strict vegetarian traditional group in Africa period, we have always been a balanced society that has a healthy relationship with life and death. We understand that something die for something to live and that everything is balanced.

As an African in diaspora (in America), I have chosen veganism (along with carbohydrate, sodium & sugar restriction in my diet) for health reasons. As you so appropriately pointed out, lots of chemicals tend to be added to the foods here in America. Thus, I have decided to consume (natural/chemical-free) foods that more easily cycle through my body while rendering the greatest amount of nutrients. May the Creator bless you my brother; and may Creator Energize and Empower Africa and Africans throughout the earth!

Yeah ... but native Africans aren't listed among the healthiest and longest living humans in the world. Rather than debate ... respect the innate wisdom and design of the human body. Try both styles of eating ... and let your body tell you what it prefers. You will feel the difference ... see the difference if you try each way of eating long enough (months ... years). At the cellular level ... the body only uses the minerals, vitamins, enzymes, etc. as food. Meat, fruits, veg ... even water and air ... are just the "package" that minerals, etc. come in. The form doesn't matter .... except that some "packages" are harder on the body ... when it comes to extraction of nutrients. Meat and oils/fats are the hardest to digest & assimilate (about 12 hours), followed by starches (about 5 hours), then green veg (about 5 hours) and then fruit (about 2 hours). You can choose to make the body work harder to extract nutrients ... or not. Your choice. But more "wear & tear" on the body over the years means a faster rate of breakdown and aging ... due acid waste created from digestion. We each will make our own choice ... and learn to live with the results. Either way you choose ... you are betting your life on it.

the human DNA is not coded to generate, on it's own, at least 8 essential amino acids and that is a scientific fact whereas gorillas do. therefore, and it takes large consumption of vegetation to get correct caloric value. therefore, sometimes the simple wisdom is better.... the point is, to eat vegan requires science if u want to do it right. it is not as simple as vitamins, minerals, etc.... that is a promulgated lie. and as a matter of fact, the Japanese tend to live the longest and it is with large consumption of seafood and vegetation

I don't think anyone said vegan was a African concept. I only heard that meat is not good for the body especially a black body. It is already proven that a plant based diet is heathtier. Hinduism n Buddhism has a vegetarian based so it would be more eatern than European. Africans themselves don't have a long lifespan so I wouldn't eat what they eat in general. Mali average lifespan is 58years

You’re not taking history into account and the fact that they don’t have a proper healthcare system and sanitation in a third world country isn’t ideal. I thought someone with a brain could understand this. For example in 1918 in America the average life expectancy was 42 years old. You really need to read a book.

Thanks Dynast I have been a vegetarian for 6yrs. and I don't just feel better and I have a stronger since of smell. The future is no one will eat meat and live on the 5dimension and I don't judge anyone for how they eat my wife and children consume a lot of flesh. Whether anyone can except the changes that are coming to mother Earth or not change is coming. We Earthlings on planet Earth have received a dispensation by the prime creator we are going from the 3dimension to the 5dimension a much lighter vibration and the consumption of animal flesh is to heavy for this new dimensional shift. Please don't be angry with me for the info I have sent to your channel because I really love your channel and I am your brother who loves you.

Its interesting to see how they have the same things that we have, in terms how they identify the clans and the names of the spiritual leaders. Now, I know the name for the men which is Hougan, but what is the name for their women? We have both Hougans and Manbos that represent the masculine and feminine aspects of the divine black order. Uhuru, how did you find that guide?

I am finding that as I honor nonmaterialism there is always still the desire to acquire something buying is how we are used to achieving this task. Since the exposure of Trash Island, I personally am trying to respect "my square foot". I have reduced my use of prepackaged items, reduced the sugar isles, and no longer buy frozen. The can goods I purchase are for "Armageddon" lol. I actually decided today as of Sept. 1st I am going to drop sugar for one month. I know I will feel the difference. I am giving that to me for my 63rd birthday on the 16th. I know a bakery that makes chocolate out of avocados, I am going to have one of those desserts. Birthdays are always more like New Years as I have gotten older. so this next year off the sugar and continue to reduce animal proteins. I believe quitting smoking was the hardest thing I have ever given up, did that a long time ago but the oral fixation is still there. I'm just going to blame that on these anotomical bodies we have here.

Considering all the hormones and pesticides in the meat these days it's probably not a bad idea. But traditionally, it wasn't from anywhere in Africa I know of. But the thing is, the meat was organic and there were also a lot of plant foods as well, so there was a balance.
