Yeah we go for a super orange and teal look for the studio, but just our look, the auto looks great too

Auto is not good because he need promote ND filter and Combo Pack for DJI, so sorry auto😂

Yeah it looks pretty good doesn’t it! Handy if you want to shot something fast and get it up

I mostly shoot in color Normal, sharpness -1, noise reduction -1 and under expose 0,3 to 0,7 all the time. That gives a great result and match perfect with my a7siii.

@editorskeys pocket 3 seems to be far better than action 4 in terms of image quality. But it seems action 4 has better smoother stabilization.

The "fully auto" mode on DJI Osmo Pocket 3 has an ND filter on while shooting that indoor talking head video? If so, how does it look in full auto mode without an ND filter? Which filter was used? Thank you.

Can I also use the pocket 3 as a web can or a live steam with computer tie or is it only SD cards?

on the Pro D-Log mode, it looks like you are overexposed and it looks HDR. looks like you pull the shadows.

Excited to try this out with DaVinci coloring tools.

What gimble mode is right for pocket - 1 for indoor interview shooting with talent and host sitting of sofa.

1st: Auto mode with reduced sharpness and noise settings. 2nd: D-Log with DJI Rec709 Lut. Both settings make the colours look more realistic (true to life) especially for studio shots. Auto mode has slightly more contrast/ saturation for a little extra pop in colours. Anything else I believe is extra for different scenarios or if you personally want a specific look for your production.

Hello ! After connecting to dji mimo, I can no longer order the photo or video function from the camera. I can only control the osmo pocket 3 device through the mimo application. If I want to use only the device, I cannot film or take photos. A padlock in a border appears on.How can I solve the problem? Thx !

I preferred the auto look. Reduced sharpness can make it look lower resolution, almost 720 or 1080 at best. Interesting though...good video to show comparison.

Thing about reduced sharpness it’s gets rid of the cellphone look when it’s over sharpened which is why the iPhone 15 pro max looks much better in ProRes s log then standard

Can you do a slide with the product tracked in centre frame - 20mm and 40mm. I have a small ratrig slider that I want to do vertical format slides of food on. Thanks

Does it have any clearzoom-like cropping mode? If it was a 24 or 35mm equivalent i would have bought it immediately but like this i don’t think it would be a great addition to my arsenal.

Hey Drew, it does have a zoom but it’s not a clear image zoom like the Sony which is a shame!

Yes. just connect it to your computer and select the webcam mode. Now it can be used as any external device in OBS or similar streaming solution.

Hey yes so I don’t tend to use face tracking as I prefer my head to move around within the frame, so for me it’s usually continuous focus

Hi, yes! We made this video to show just how great the camera is at doing everything. Great for vlogging but can also be used as a studio camera if you ever feel the need to! Are you thinking of buying one?

It seems to overexpose the cheekbones. Maybe a stronger ND would counteract that? Thanks for the video, and showing that magnetic NDs could INDEED be added to the Pocket 3...

Yes we noticed that too, I had it set to -0.7 and changed to -0.3 however I think it needs to go back to -0.7

I don't understand the need for an ND filter if you're in a Studio where you have full control of the lighting.

Original looked better than the graded I think, because of the sharpness. The DSLR is also sharper than the graded DJI.

Oof i think we are lowering our standards lately.. For someone that doesn't have a camera it'll do but there is a considerable difference if you look at it on a true TV or heck even my phone but.. I know DJI is doing a little push to try to get people to use it as a studio camera too. I have this camera and I'm going to keep it for what it was intended to be and that's a travel camera.. So far in my testing I found that it's great but there's a lot of banding if the shot is static you notice it big time outside.. fantastic for its actual purpose though

Color grading without scopes? Sure slap a LUT, move a slider- DONE! Best to learn how to color correct... correctly, so it becomes 2nd nature. For that, you need your scopes because your monitor is probably not properly calibrated. Great content regardless!!

Even at -2 sharpness is a bit high? Skin, face did not look as good as sony grading. Also by setting -1 for the noise reduction should lower the sharpness even more then using -2? Would be interesting to see someone do a comparison by all those settings.

Hey so -2 is the lowest this can go, I agree it’s still a little sharp but not too bad for a camera of this size (the Sony setup is £4000)

Wow....looks amazing the talking head videos with the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. No need for expensive and complicated Sony cameras anymore?? Does DJI Osmo Pocket 3 "auto mode" mean that everything in the camera is "auto" or do you still need some things manual? (Someone that knows nothing about cameras and editing looking to make indoor talking head videos for KZread)

I can just get the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, no need for lenses, no need for ofter audio than the wireless one that comes in the box, put everything on “Auto”, no need for endless menu options and settings, and the indoor talking head videos for KZread will look really professional and cool??? It sounds too good to be true? If true, that changes everything for absolute beginners who are overwhelmed by cameras, lenses, settings, concepts, etc……

3:16 Auto mode is much better because for some reason you chose yellow as your skin tone.

I’d say the auto looks just fine. I’ve used the osmo action 4 in my studio on auto which also looks just fine. In my opinion that is. Everything is subjective. One man’s gold is another’s trash as they say.

Normal colors on P3 is much more close to natuual true colors than anyone can achieve from grade colors.

I think the Auto looks better. LOL -2 is too much. -1 would prob be better.

Maybe automode could use a little more color (and a little darker) but to my eyes it really looked much better and more detailed. Hair looks better too and for the lighting I would fix that with the set-up and not in post, just a little less light in de background... Naturally it's also a matter of taste😉 Have a great day🤗👍

It's horrible! Might be useful for outdoor footage but uselss for indoor settings. One would be better off buying a mirrorless and a prime lense.

The DOF difference in this comparison is noticeable. I’d say the win goes to the Sony. But that could change if this was shot outside, where the distance to the background is further.

In my opinion pocket picture looks terrible, too digital, unrealistic compared to Sony cameras.
