Starting over completely is not the issue. Massive has never said you will lose your main characeters and have to start over completely from scratch. The issue is that you cannot leverage your main in seasonal content. You can do the other activities with you main, but you cannot use your main in the seasonal content and the gear and XP from the seasnonal content is inaccesible to your main until the season is over. Not including the climax and master missions. In the context of seasons you are reset to 0 each season as you must start a new seasonal character each season.

I left the previous comment to reiterate why people are concerned and/or upset. Your past effort in the form of SHD levels, expertise, and gear is irrelevant to seasonal content until the intermission period at the end of the seaons. Likewise, seasons are the new content and what will drive continued interest in the game so not havig access to these things in the seasonal content is not a trivial matter. People have every right to like or not like that.

@@dw4897 there may be an impact to pvp. That needs to be clarified. If new gear is tied to the season track then I am not sure how it can be accessed in PVP. You may need to use your seasonal character or gear granted on the season path is not accessible in PVP until the season is over.

We understand that we aren’t resetting our main character we are saying we want to play the season and story with our main character we don’t want to be forced to use seasonal characters to play the story we worked hard on our current characters and we want to use them that’s it

The part I really don't like the idea of is introducing seasonal characters and tying them to the story progression. A large part of the playerbase's investment into the game comes from our main character's place in the continuing story. Forcing us to progress the story with a different character just invalidates our emotional investment and means that our main character's place in the story just stops abruptly.

I’m with you on this one. Bringing back Keener and Parnell is a lazy and implausible retcon. It’s really kind of a middle finger to the community. Watching certain TD2 sign off on this without as much as raising an eyebrow is telling.

You literally read verbatim the same web page that everyone of us have read. Then you talk in circles punctuating the known information with "We're not sure". There is no mystery here. No one is believing that this is about thinking they are losing their main character. It's about being forced into a position in which one has to create a new reverted and neutered character in order to engage with seasonal content. And that is what they are doing. Telling people they now need to create level 1 characters in order to experience the seasonal activity , is in fact, telling them they are starting over. This tells everyone that they simply are boxed in now and unable to create any new experience that creates character progression for current character levels. This is like a straw man argument. This is specifically about having to create start over characters for the new seasonal content. And the way they are trying to make it seem like it's an exciting new experience. Let's be honest. The painful process of this game, and the way it has been put on life support. Tells everyone just what to expect. Nothing will be new, nothing is different. You'll be in the same locations, using the same roster of mechanics, same resources. The only thing that will be different will be the fact that they made you start over. It's a dead end. Might as well just start the whole game over with a new character and replay everything you've already done. Because that is basically what the seasonal characters are, a new way to run around in circles.

I simply held up the case that you were making yourself. You state in your video that you're going to explain everything to everyone because you believe they are not understanding what is going on. Then you read readily available information that many have already consumed and understood for themselves. You even say your self, basically you dont know for sure. I didnt state that you know nothing . I stated youre telling us, or many of us, what we already know. Because we read it for ourselves. I get that you want to dismiss me. So thank you for giving me such high marks for efforts and comical success. But to many the confusion, wether its deliberate on your part or not. Is the belief that many are thinking they will lose their main characters. The reality is many are not enticed or excited about having to restart new characters for seasonal activity engagement. And the reality is that this new game plan from the developers does require you to start over with new characters to engage with this seasonal revamp of activity. Tells me , maybe the simple fact is, that you have a vested interest in towing the line. In trying to undersell what is actually being put forth by the developers. You are not in this boat so my bad on that. Please forgive me. You do miss my point of the video though. And you are just basing assumptions on what you think. As you said, I clearly say I know nothing as nobody does. The way they are doing it is bringing the game in with the times. Many games do this now to great success and they have the data and knowhow to make this work. Its not like they are doing this blind. Who is to say this new seasonal character will just be a weekly activity that they want you to do that beats what we currently have. And by doing it like this they are able to create so much more fun with it. People are getting unhinged on the none fact that they have to start over. This is not the case, it is clear to see in the communication. A few hours a week on your seasonal character followed by going back to your main to focus on whatever else you still play the game for. This will all be confirmed at a later date. Until then we know nothing. My video was for the people that have got lost in all this nonsense and have no idea what is going on. Some people think their mains are getting deleted. I just offered reassurance by going over what they said and explaining it which is what the title suggests.

I apologised. In my defense I have been bombarded with attacks because I have an opinion. I then snap. It happens. When I read the message back I apologised.

The issue for me other than the attachment to the character I've had since day one is that i only have a very limited amount of time i can play the game. its not like i can dedicate time to a new character in seasons and then go back to my main character and play the other modes, because of that i mostly only play the pve seasonal content. Also, the idea of building a new character from the ground up after a long day of work and only a limited amount of time to play just sounds daunting to me. Also, story wise it doesn't really make sense to me. It's our main character that Keener should be interested in recruiting, not some random agent we haven't met story wise.

Enjoyed the Incursion and would come back to get the gear but I even feel that extremely poor now. This is the first time I’ve had zero desire to play a season and that tells me everything. Nothing has said we still won't have leagues and global events as part of our main characters. You are all assuming. These could stay because why the hell not? They wont be seasonal no more just standard events on rotation maybe. So yes, worse case scenario is these are no more. But I see no reason why these cant stay if they are reinventing the seasons on a seasonal character. They emphasised on the story content and waiting 4 weeks, and that this would now be weekly. Again, we know nothing. Everyone is assuming. They will provide more information in August before season 2. And on another note, with some of their other decision making by making things all inclusive. It would be one hell of a move to rotate all global events and leagues giving new and returning players a chance to get some past apparel rewards.

New characters should have been made to be your bot team member to rum with you in missions. Have the character learn how you play and later have it as a backup team member running with you.

@AZ-dj1ni I think it was Forza that would have your cars racing other players when you weren't online. It would mimic your driving style. It could be done, but you're right. They've had issues gone unfixed for a while now. Something else they could do is offer the raid and incursion maps as solo player missions. Doesn't have to drop the exclusive exotics, but just use the maps for ne2 missions.

The devs keep creating more gear/weapons but need to give us more inventory space. At least raise stash space to 4-500. And the DLC is long overdue.

I think Ubisoft should have kept quiet about seasonal characters until they were prepared to fully explain it. Ubisoft forward was very obviously not the place or time to talk about it.

If im reading this correctly, thats how seasons 2.0 is going to end up as. You will have to recreate a new character every season and level it to 40 so that you can partake in the storyline/manhunt/global events. it makes absolutely no sense to create a character every season as you are allotted 4 total characters plus inventory space is going to be a major issue.I dont see this going well for Division 2. If the SHD levels dont transfer over and the gear from the stash space doesnt follow the seasonal character, then the game is officially going to die. No one is going to want to level a new toon specifically for a season and you not having the ability to get your gear from the stash. Again, It makes absolutely 0 sense to make a seasonal character when your main character has been doing everything for the last 5 years. If This is the case that you HAVE TO create a character every season, then Ubisoft just made sure that this game just ended its life cycle very quickly because of Seasons 2.0. lets see how this plays out day one of Seasons 2.0 shall we? I say this because they taking a page out of Blizzard's book.....Diablo 4 has a main toon in the eternal realm and a seasonal character has to be created so that you can participate in the seasonal events.

They did confirm that they are adding a 5th slot for the seasonal guy, but I'm willing to bet it will work EXACTLY like Diablo and the season guy is siloed off completely. At least you won't have to delete a guy to get kicked in the progression nut-sack. At end of season stuff is shuffled to 'eternal' and previous season gear goes into general loot pool (just like now with the stuff on the season track except only the new season charater will have access to that stuff while the season is ongoing)

OK with no disrespect I’ve been playing Diablo four since it came out in no matter what when you start a new seasonal character, your original character gets left behind and no matter how you spin it. That’s exactly what is happening.

Div is not Diablo. They were very clear with their intentions of doing what they are doing. No character is going to be left behind.

I haven’t touched my firstly round character because they force me to do a new character and then I take that one play the story because that’s all there is to do for the season they don’t have read that’s why I said it was like not to see you’re still making the character redundant by doing this crap, so no no matter how much you show for them and protect them and say this is a good thing it’s not.

​@@GCROCKthey havent been clear at all bro, lol, that's why you're attempting to help them be clear with this video. Also Diablo has been doing Ladder/Seasons for 20+ years. I dont know about Diablo1 but Diablo2 had Ladder and you had to remake characters every new Ladder.

I quit Diablo 4 to avoid seasonal mechanics because starting over was too annoying for the 4th time. Now Division 2 is forcing seasons on me here too... If they force me to start over from scratch to farm the season like Diablo that will be enough to make me quit the game for good. I like to hop in using my already made builds to farm the content. I DO NOT want to farm new builds from scratch; taking me hours/days/weeks, just to regain the same level of power that I already have.

The difference now is just the New York map. If people don't own the expansion they wont have access to this map and story.

How I think the seasonal character(s) works is like how diablo 3 works. If u don't know how it works, this is how it works: u got non season characters, season characters, hardcore non season characters, and hardcore season characters (all of them have separate loot and XP). When the season ends, all the loot u get gets transferred to the non seasonal characters and the season character's level goes to the non seasonal character's paragon level (if u are at paragon levels). Hardcore seasonal goes to hardcore non seasonal, softcore seasonal goes to softcore non seasonal.

@@GCROCK that's why I mentioned diablo 3 not 4. I was one of the people that hated diablo 4. I will admit that I played diablo 3 way after release (like in season 20+).

I keep getting same screen I not able to play server are unavailable some than about echo-02

no they said we have to level these new characters from lvl 1 to lvl 40 each new season. and guarentee the WONY lvl 30 booster wont be usable on seasonal characters.

What do I when I play Division 2? I raise my SHD Level and max my gear straight for future story content. So yeah... God job Ubisoft. This really upsets my immersion into this game both for lore and fun factor. This is just another way to get you to grind shit over again without trying to piss people off. I have my own goals now. Max expertise and hit 3000-3800 SHD and I will be satisfied. They are going out of their way to make this game unenjoyable. Its obvious when they want you to play certain content. Now they are making story mode decisions with prerequisites? Might have to eventually watch Division 3 playthrough on youtube if this keeps up.

Check this out Division 2 year 6 is all about $$$. Deleting world tiers and an entire gear platform (gear score 100-500) cuts maintenance, server space, and even number of "fixes" required when there is a problem. New manhunts equal significant increase in players which equals server space. Seasonal characters with no stash or backpack will prevent the need for this server space when more players log in. Div 2 is going into auto pilot and they are cutting back on resources not changing the game for player enjoyment. Last manhunt did not

My fear was having to delete one of my 4 characters, but it seems there will be an extra slot for the seasonal character, so I'm cool with that. One thing I don't like with the seasonal character is it will be like an extended tutorial from what I'm hearing, that's great for new players, but veterans probably won't like that, though I'll wait and see how it is, no need to worry about it now.

If you wanna keep that seasonal character after the season is over then you will have to delete one of your 4 main characters.

Soooo basically Diablo 3 / 4 seasonal content. Make a new character, do the wacky content and level up there, and progress goes into the main game once the season ends. EDIT: Also, if this is anything like those games, then mains will be irrelevant since they cannot experience the new content brought in via seasons

4.54: You're hitting the nail on the head. Thus far the information provided about Season 2.0 is vague. We've been informed in general terms about a subject that is, to put it mildly, rather sensitive to the community. Ubisoft could have done a better job here to prevent a lot of speculation and misunderstanding. To me it seems (please note: this is only my interpretation!) the Division 2 will become a hybrid game: you can continu all the current missions with the characters you already have. In addition, starting with Season 2.0, there will be a new game mode: the seasonal challenge that you start from scratch. This seems like an upgraded version of Descent but taking place in the usual Div 2-environment of Washington and NY. And that has about the same building up of gear and skills that we had when we were leveling up to level 40. The devs have said something like: "In the current context of the game we have run out of opportunities to bring the fans exciting new content and gear." The new exotics and gearsets we got for this seasons proves their point. And I don't blame them for it: hell, the Div 2 is been running for years. It's time for a big change. The Div 2-team has taken a bold step to innovate, probably also with Div 3 in mind. I hope they can pull it of to refresh the game and I am looking forward to the new season. Of course, there remain a lot of questions, for example: some of us have 4 characters already, what happens when the seasonal character is added to the roster? The future will learn.

I didnt explain this once in this take as it was before they released that information. But I do think that is great news if people are that against creating a seasonal character 👍

Guess for now this latest season right now will be last season that i will play on division 2 untill that new features come out in august..then gonna retire while waiting TD3 and playing other games..lazy already to farm over again same stuff for new seasonal event in august..

If I cant use my main character to do the seasons then Im out, Im done with these stupid things they keep forcing on us.

No long term playing is thinking our mains are getting deleted or we are starting again we all understand what season 2.0 revamp is we just don't want it, to be only able to play the last two weeks of a season with a char i have spent thousands of hours playing and maintaining while keeping the game alive is a kick in my teeth to the hours I've dedicated to the game. It should be an option you opt in or out of, that way new players can play it and any other player that wants to try it with a seasonal char can by using the opt in. It's wrong and the backlash is going to be massive and it will not end well and trust me they will reverse it. For the record i would also opt in and try it with a fresh seasonal char but only after i had cleared the content on my main.

With the seasonal characters im ok still some unknowns but with them removing world tier for this im wondering how the other aspects are going to be with the way there going its for new and returning players getting the exp and items from the seasonal characters to the main

I feel that this is slightly misleading as we don’t know what season 2.0 is going to look like. It’s going to be weekly stuff. So we can’t look at what we have as a factor of what we will have. It’s like being blind folded, and by touch only telling me the difference between a granny Smith apple and a Fuji apple. If there model is after Diablo 3 - 4 then session and non session don’t mix. So if you want the session experience you have to be a session creator. There is no stash sharing between the two. Cinda like how hardcore is currently in the game. Thinking about it that’s how this could all work there is a sessional server and if you want sessional stuff you have to play on the server.

I go over everything we know from what they have said. They covered alot of what you mentioned in their announcement and post announcement article. In terms of the stash/gear, they have said that all rewards and XP will move to your main character at the end of the season and your seasonal character will be added to your roster. This means everything you get, you keep and you will be able to use it on your main later.

Since I know the dev team is fundamentally lazy/chronically understaffed, it wouldn't shock me if the season mechanics is really based on the existing hardcore code backend they already have implemented. It finally got out of beta!!! 🙄

Non-seasonal gameplay until the 2 week intermission period.

So am i have to regrind rolls and talents on new gear when my main already has what i want. That's my problem here not a new character just getting low rolls maxed.

we don't have these details, but presumably that is what starting over from level 1 would entail (at least on your seasonal rental toon). otherwise, what's the point of making us do that? you will engage in the same mechanics you did the first time through. we don't know if SHD will transfer, or collectables, or stash, or crafting, or recal library, or expertise, etc. But if I were a betting man, I'd say no. It's an attempt to extend the treadmill and an excuse to try to sell you more MTX. There might be some compelling new gameplay in there (whatever the 'season twist' happens to be), but ultimately there isn't a good reason we couldn't do this with our original characters other than above reasons (IMO). Read beween the bullshit and see it like the C-suite.

No worries. This is just my take, I could be very wrong also. I think the good news is they know the whole deal, they can see all the feedback and they will let us know a lot more before the change happens. Until then I wouldn't worry and we will find out exactly how it will work in August at their "summer event"

Interesting video but at about 5:30 into the video I have to say I don't care about the global events or the leagues so if they moved those to the seasonal character that would be perfectly ok but if they moved the manhunt story over to the seasonal character then that would make the game unplayable for those who can't exactly grind out hours for a new character

The manhunt/story is moving over. They have confirmed this. However don't think of it like you need to spend 100 hours to get to end game and get all of your builds. Think of it like you will log into it once per week to do much more engaging activities that will level you up faster. Once you are done for the week, back to your main. I imagine there may be a way to get to level 40 quick on the seasonal character but it wont be needed. You could just log in each week, do the activities and by the end of the season you will be more than ready to take on the climax mission. Now, for those that want a real challenge, take on the master climax mission afterwards and this will require a bit more effort. Or you can just let the season finish and take on the Master Climax mission on your main once the season is over. They will not require a ton of time from you. I assure you. I think it will be a lot clearer once they deep dive into it before season 2

It is entirely possible that Massive will botch the balancing and it'll take 20 hours a week over the course of a season just to grind back to Level 40. I work a busy job and get to relax maybe two hours a week playing some Division 2, so if they're locking all the new content behind a seasonal character where all the loot and hard work I've put in for five years is inaccessible, then I'll find another bloody game to play instead.

@@GCROCK But it's not optional if you want to play through the story as you have before. Make it optional, give people who do the seasonal character something extra at the end of the season and the problem's solved.

As long as they don’t ignore the sheriff’s existence in lore, I am fine with it. Give the sheriff a lore reason to be sidelined in seasonal missions.

Seasonal content is amongst the only stuff i can really do on characters. If this is all true and i cant max a character in 4 hours im gonna have to drop the game here. Just too much to be able to redo all that on top of gear.

Well from a person that was expecting/hoping for heartlands to be integrated. You seem to be hyping a bad idea they came up with a lot. Still alot of ifs and buts on what they actually doing i have loads of questions but will havecto wait till it drops

If the new seasonal content and gear isn't accessible to my main then there's no reason for me to continue to play the game. So, your main is stagnant until the season ends? Which could be 3 months or 6 months if something goes wrong? No thanks. If I wanted the feel of starting a new game with a new character for new gear, I wouldn't do it on an old broken game like the division.

Seasonal resets will fail Div2 wasn’t designed or have the foundation for it. All division agents are the same unlike say in Diablo for example you can pick a different class.

I am really really sick of all these games companies telling us how to play the game in a game where you are to find the loop build a build play with the build if you want to play with something different you have that option but now with the way you describe it, we are being forced to play The Way massive wants you to play and that is wrong. If I would choose not to play strikers and play hunters, fury that’s my choice by th forcing to pick Hunter’s fury over striker is wrong.

People saying they are uninstalling and not happy is nothing new 🤣 Self entitled people can be quite loud and I have seen these cimments since I started The Division 1. I think statistics speak louder though. The buzz around the game right now is great to see. I think I speak on behalf of a lot of people that just get on with their day, we are very excited to see so much effort going into the game we love and can't wait to see what the DLC brings. I think its great to see them focus on some fundamentals on a game that is five years old before just unloading content onto us. We also assume a lot of the stuff they do now will be in prep for Division 3 so that they can test the waters with ideas.

Because it's so obvious. There are stages to this game and seasons 2.0 will enhance the game at the later stages. For anyone still working on the earlier stages, you will still want to do this and will still be able to.

I just thought of the last five years we've had this character now we have new gameplay that's only tied to the story, not the character we have ran the last 5 years with. This is the problem. Any of those seasonal character is only game play for a story 5 years old. We are attached to the last 5 years, and up rooting the story, to bring people back, that will leave again. They play other games. Few select of us play daily. That's our choice. And the devs want you to play no other game. Look at how they are bringing you back. Old map with new directives, cuz we are not getting Brooklyn's new map for over another 7 months.

The majority of the content is designed to boost interest in the game, gain new players or pull back in returning players, they are trying new seasonal structures to be more inline with current and up to date live service games, I understand a lot of people’s frustrations and seasonal characters feels like such a drop of the ball, however, I will hold my breath as I believe the team behind the game have not only interest in driving future sales of the game and Division 3 but they want to bring new content and ways to play for Veteran and Hardcore players. Not everything is going to work.

G, I absolutely hate this idea. I don’t want a new character. I have 6k+ hours on this game, I love my builds, I want to play my way. I’m so disappointed the direction this game is going. I’ve said it from the start, these devs DON’T PLAY THE GAME. They have no clue. So now instead of giving us new raids or incursions, they’re making us start with new characters because they’re too lazy or clueless as to how to progress the story. I’m sorry to say it, but I will be playing Destiny more. They really know how to make a game.

Personaly dont see any issue using a new character to make seasons more fun. I will still be working on my main to do all the endgame content and the new content coming. I feel for people at the end of their main character progression this will be a nice way to enjoy the seasons more. More content is coming and this content will be for your main so its still worth reaching that pinnacle with it.

I don't like the idea but we'll see what happens. However locking you out your main character out of new content is just dumb. I also feel the game is way easier after this update. I've always played on the highest world tier and on heroic since it released and I'm blowing through missions/check points in minutes. Doesn't feel challenging anymore

Let’s be real this is a time Gate to content, this is an another loop for player engagement. Most people don’t have the time and the attention to do this releveling a character each season. You say it’s easier to level up which is not true they have nerfed xp gains, if they want to penalize players in this way to push them into this new seasonal content that’s bad game design. I understand this is perfect content for and your channel but the content is not worth it for regular players faux season long global events and sub par gear isn’t worth it.

Insanity is doing the exact same thing over and over again, and expecting shit to change” that’s what players are complaining about, no one wants releveling a character over and over as content that’s a waste of time, and then you’re doing the same missions over again and again. Since you think I’m contradicting what I’m saying in “the content for your channel” and people not liking it, so let me clarify people not liking the content of the games update, but both can be true, people can not like the content of the game play and still watch your stream or your videos, people come to watch you and be apart of your community.

I would say its more jumping to conclusions. The communication is there but people tunnel vision and then jump on the hate train. Obviously we can all always do better. But they were clear this was a season 2 thing, they were clear more information will be coming. We should learn a lot more in August. I see a lot of confused people from the lack of more information and then the fall out over social media.

Great overview that answers a lot of questions. Looking forward to the August event to get more details. I for one am happy for a shakeup: friends that have stopped playing the division are actually thinking of coming back. This the ultimate goal: creating a level playing field to entice more people to play without affecting the end game for die hard fans.

My take on the seasonal character is a pick from either a support, assault or heavy. Run through the season with that character but certain gear set will only be applicable to those characters. If this is the case I'm up for it.

The point of season is to start over... If you want to play your old character then just play it, why does it have to do these particular stories that are specifically there for SEASONS. Without those, the seasons wouldn't have as much appeal. Starting over is fun, try something new, your character isnt going anywhere. Or just dont do seasons... Your main will get the seasonal gear when the next one starts, otherwise whats the point?! That would just be "added content" instead of a true "seasonal"

This is a false narrative. Nobody thinks their main character is going to be erased. This is ridiculous. Ongoing enjoyment of the game, all future seasonal content, story, events, priority targets, rewards and whatever else gets included in a season will all be locked behind starting a new level one character. This is starting over!

So we´re supposed to play Diablo 4 now? Yeah??? I guess

Now Im not gonna get all doom and gloom until it comes out. But i really hope that they go all the way, like the main character is, well the main character whereas seasonal characters are seperate from that story. For example maybe we could be a rogue agent working for natalya, or an agent being tested by calvin to become a hunter. This would give us a wider perspective on characters. It could also change how the game is played during these manhunts as we could get locked out of certain areas like haven or the whitehouse as well as changing up who we fight against. But I dont know if theyd go that far. Lets just wait and see for Y6S2 before we start going all Aaron Keener.

They’re not changing the game. The missions are going to be the same. So being a rogue wouldn’t make sense. They’re going to have accelerated levelling and game play modifiers. The campaign is going to be exactly the same.

Sounds like the community wants the Division to not become Diablo. Division 2 is now a sandbox for Division 3. There will be changes that may be either positive and negative. We shall all see. Regardless, feedback is important.

I think people are tunnel visioned on the Diablo concept. I don't see this being anywhere near what Diablo does. What diablo does works for Diablo and we can hope what Massive do with a seasonal character system for The Division, works for The Division. Like you said, time will tell. I am sure if it flops completely then they will have to take another look at it.

I just dont see how they are cutting anyone or anything off. This confuses me no end. So you can 1) stay the same, sign in every three weeks to play 20 minutes of rushed manhunt because its the same old control points and bounties it has been for years now. Only plus is having a few days grind of a season pass every 4 months. 2) Switch things up. They have decided on seasonal characters where you will have weekly content to do rather than three weekly and as its a new server they are going to introduce seasonal modifiers which nobody knows what they are yet. Allowing each season to be different because of said modifiers. The one downside, waiting for season track rewards if you dont want to do it. Climax mission has to be the best thing about this and is available to main also. The climax miasion now asnit is, is the only good thing about the seasonal content bar the season pass. Plus they are adding a master difficulty intended for 4 players on these which will suit those that like incursion style content. How can anyone can judge this before they try as we have no clue as to what they plans are with the modifiers etc. And master mission. But yes, you are free to judge before you try for sure. But going back to your original message. People that continue to play will still use their mains. This isn't Diablo.

I have 6,500 hours into the game and a SHD level 11,600 , I'm not liking what I am hearing from the Dev's. I was OK with the crashes on pc and all the problems that come with each season but this could be the straw that breaks the llama's back. I'll check it out but this may be the end of the Division 2 for me.

Yeah Im not a fan of this idea at all. I am also not a fan of giving new players a "fast path" to end game.....nor giving them access to any part of the game I and all other veteran players have had to pay for and grind through to get where we are today. If this is the path forward then shd levels are completely pointless and meaningless. Not to mention that quite frankly I feel like in that aspect of the upcoming changes they robbed the veteran players out of our money, effort and time. It was a horrible idea to put the EB and Rav in the dz drop pool thus robbing all raid players who earned it the hard way and this is no different. As far as seasons 2.0 goes....dumb idea. Im not creating a character and dealing with all that crap for the trash exotics and junk rewards they have been coming out with for years now....rugged gauntlets??? Seriously man who looked at that and said " Oooooo good one mate."? Should be working at Wendy's.

Nice vid & they’ve sneakily nerfed invaded missions & projects XP. Invaded with 4 directives i used to get 880k xp now i get 360k

But why in the heck would i want to start at level 1 with none of my gear and stuff that I have spent countless hours getting right and building? Seriously this AARPG approach so far sounds pretty lame. HOPEFULLY I am wrong

I’m all for the seasonal characters but I think it would be awesome to after the seasonal grind and all we earned from it we take that xp and loot to our mains and then get to experience a new pinnacle experience made to challenge our main characters to their limits at the end of the seasonal grind. Engaging and interacting with the seasonal grind would give us the tools to be able to tackle each season’s hardest challenge specifically designed for our main characters. Would give seasonal characters a solid complement to our mains. That pinnacle activity could reward us with seasonal apparel to show we completed the season.

This just copies a functionality of Diablo 4. Players have to start from scratch with a new character in a season and gear (that blizzard deems ok to transfer) at the end of that characters season can transfer to your main non seasonal character. It sucks. It comes across as them padding “time people spent playing” the game. If people want to use their already high level geared character, let them. If they want to create a new character let them. Give players a choice. Bleh. Their player count will drop and they’ll either revert it back or use it as an excuse to turn their servers off. I’ll move on. Oh well.

Well explained. I dont know what the hate is about. I had wished for a seasonal format after I level my 2nd agent as a mule. I also happen to delete one of my agent by accident, and it was actually very refreshing to be able to loot and get excited for god rolls again :D. D2 has such vast open world and storytelling that I found myself want to do over once every 3~4 months. Its kinda like watching/reading your favorite movie/book again.

Yeah, watch mule starting from Lv1 to 40 I still believe that watch mule with WONY (Now also in DC) is more time efficient, saving you from having to climb 30 levels
