What amazing video, I did the Johannesburg DGR and loved every minute of it! My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer but luckily he is on the mend, so this ride was something very dear to my heart.

Similar down in Bristol today where three hundred spectacular gents and some ladies attended the DGR today sharing a really stunning ride in very hot sunshine. @@lesperchard3793 they’re great so far, they seem very grippy and the bike feels more nimble, haven’t ridden them in the wet yet so I can’t comment on that, but I’ve heard good things. As long as they last more than 3.5k miles then that’s a win over the last tyres.

@@bikersrightscount8605 it doesn’t cost anything, ideally there’s a sponsorship part where you try to raise money for the DGR’s charities, but it’s not a prerequisite for taking part, you just need the right kind of bike and a willingness to spruce yourself up a bit 😁

Fabulous vid sir a true gentleman’s ride regards fred ps I partook in the Winchester DGR then on to Thruxton for the finish 70 riders in total 👌😎

I very nearly went to that one instead, but the rain kept me indoors a bit longer than I wanted so by the time it stopped, I couldn't have got there in time. Looked like a good turnout for your event, glad you enjoyed it!

@@ClassicRides for sure these engines should easily do 100k serviced at intervals etc I'm embarrassed to say my t120 is 8 months old I've done 370 miles!!! Hope to get a bundle on it when I retire in a few months time when you work for yourself there's never enough free time Really enjoyed the Nc500 films thanks so much Would you consider a French trip say Normandy coastline I wonder?

@@ianclarke4814 I work for myself too so totally understand that time off riding a bike is time you could’ve spent earning a living, it’s one of the reasons I started the channel ‘shop’, I wouldn’t be able to take time out to make videos without it. Yes a trip to Europe’s been on the table for a while, but it’s the taking time off issue that’s stopped me so far. One day, hopefully!

Cracking video....can I ask what have you done to lower the back part of the silencer down....looks so much better. I see you all ended up at Barton Airfield.......wish I knew it was on....would have come for a look....love they ride in there Monday evenings.

Hi Nick, glad you liked the video. I haven’t done anything to the rear silencers so they’re just at the normal position for peashooter exhausts. A lot of folk put upswept aftermarket cans on but I prefer the more traditional look.

@@ClassicRides I see....maybe the T120 is different in that respect then...I have a 2020 T100....peashooter completely block the rear wheel axle nuts....makes chain adjustment a pain involving removing both peashooters....also they have a slight upward tilt....to me they would look more in keeping more parallel to the road....as per the 60s Bonnie. Must take a look at a T120.

If you look back at the vid at 1m 10s you can see the tail pipe is well clear of the axle bolt....that bolt is usually covering that bolt....to an extent that the silencer needs removing the get the bolt out. I wonder....it the silencer is not hung in a different way....have your rear shocks/spring been modified....or is it possible the springs themselves are weak....something is causing the rear of you bike to ride lower.....could the be a lot of weight in your saddle bags. Was looking at some brand new T120 at Stafford Triumph on Sat just gone....in std trim the rear exhaust blocks access to the axle bolt.

Are police more leniet with leaving bikes that have the black/white regi plate. Even if they're newer models

I think it depends on the bike, the black and white plate doesn’t look out of place on my bike so I’ve had no bother yet, but I don’t think you’d get away with it on a sports bike or something like that.

Well done matey. I intended to put a good vid together but a seized gear lever distracted me from all the usual B-reel, that and running out of fuel at the finish line. I'll put one up soon, I was riding behind you so no doubt you'll get on mine, watch this space!

Yeah, I'm a cheapskate and have an old version of Premier and now have an insta360 so it may take a bit longer than usual to put a vid together but you're already in the cut now before I even saw your vid as you departed right in front of me.
