I noticed how, on the phone, he was answering to Mickey & Friends and saying "I love you". I think he's really grateful for what you guys did! He will never forget that day.

Goofy must be his favorite! I love how excited he got when he saw the Goofy package! This was so incredible.

Thank you for sharing this! We are planning to take our daughter this fall, and I was considering getting the "Dream Maker" delivered to our room as well. Similar to your story, she is our "miracle baby" and she will be 4 as well. I'm already getting slack from family and friends as to "waste of money" and that she won't remember. To which I say we can always go again when she is the "proper" age, and she will have scrapbooks and stories to remind her of the experience in the meantime.

I actually celebrated getting of cancer at Disney. :-) Happy times. :-)

he's too young to understand.. my dad told me to bring kids on vacations after 6 because before then.. they won't appreciate it because they don't know any better.. plus, they wont remember it that well.

No they don't. My parents let me be a big kid. And I live out on my own, in a different state. I still have all my stuffed animals from when I was little. I'm really sorry your parents are like that. :(

Would never work. The child would probably wake up and even if they don't (even though it is like a 12 hour sleep) they need to be up for airport security, plane take off and landing, disney security (yes they have that), and then of course when you get to the parks you need to have everyone put their finger on a scanner and have their finger print scanned. They do that and then put the prints in the computer for each pass so they know it was your pass and you didn't take it.

I understand where you're coming from, but are they saying that because of your religion, or because that's what they say. Technically, Disney isn't just for kids. True, they try to do alot of things for kids, but they try to do things for any age group. Also, the world would be pretty dull if we can't do anything 'childish'. Being an adult isn't about doing nothing 'childish', it's about being able to handle the world, and understanding it better. I hope that I'm not offending you at all.

that is wayyy tooo cute!!! I remember my 8th birthday that I had in Disney in Cinderella's castle, it was just a lunch where I got a certificate that said that I was a "legal" disney princess. But it certainly was nothing like this! This was an awesome thing! I mean, presents from all the gang, birthday messages on the phone!! WOW!

The characters sign them when you meet them at the park. It's pretty cool, the kids love and it gives the kids a reason to approach them if they are too shy...

This is very cute. I would do it for a child over the age of 8 or 9 just so they can take it in a bit more and also remember it better, but that is just of course my opinion. I was this age when I went to Disney the first time and i don't remember it and that is really unfortunate so that is why i say that.

He did seem a little confused but he looked like he enjoyed it a lot! I think 5 or 6 would be the perfect age to do this but I know you guys wanted to go too and it is really hard to fight the urge to go to Disney! :D

PS, your son is adorable and I never got any impression that he is "ungrateful." Some posters need to get a life. And congratulations on your miracle child. I'm sure he's brought as much joy and meaning to your lives as our daughter has to ours.

Nice thought but kinda imposable. The kid would need to be awake for security, take off, landing and they would need to be asleep for like 10 hours. Still a nice though.

There's a website that has all sorts of stuff like this. Even custom made gift baskets. You can have it waiting for you in your room when you get there.

By they way, you may want to let them know that Walt Disney created the original Disneyland for both adults and children. Disney World is even more so considering they have booze everywhere and even had Pleasure Island, a location full of night clubs (though this has shut down they're retheming and planning to open sometime next year).

That is terrible ! I am 21 years old (About to be 22) and I'm going to Disney World this weekend!! Forget what people say, you're never too old for Disney!
