I am working on having more of my videos closed captioned and will be sure to add them as soon as possible; As I am working and studying for my Masters Degree my time is limited.
But, if you would like to contribute closed captions for me in exchange for a shoutout on my channel and social media it would be greatly appreciated.

It’s so interesting how looking back at something that was said a while back can spark an entire idea. In this case being your blog and channel. Nice how you turned something negative and flipped it around.
Mmm I may do this tag :) You don't look blind and you're lying is the worst! I'm a blind gamer, and you get so much pushback when you mention wanting accessibility in gaming from sighted people with the whole "Blind people don't play games or if they do they aren't a big enough market so keep games the way they are" and it's always so frustrating. I've gotten "You look blind" when someone has watched my videos too and I just went off on them rotfl. I don't like giving people a free pass for the you look blind statement. When they say it I just go "What does looking blind look like, should my eye be hanging out of my socket or something?" And it tends to wake them up with how ridiculous the statement sounds haha. But snarky humor is how I handle 95 percent of my life, so... Great video! Like I said, seriously considering doing this, even though I don't have a vlogging channel lol.

Crystal Dennis Music you should! I know a lot of bloggers who’ve also done this so you could also write a blog too

Crystal Dennis Music hahahaha “should my eye be hanging out of my socket or something“. I’m going to start using that one when people tell me I don’t look blind
I also have Septo Optic Dysplasia and Nystagmus, you described it very well, I always get kind of complicated with my words trying to describe everything. I’m probably going to do this tag on my other account
When I get the comment "you don't look blind", to me I translate that as "you don't look like the media stereotype of a blind person to me". It's irritating for sure, but this helps me have a bit of empathy towards the person because they haven been fed this idea of what a "blind person" looks like. The media stereotype is the older man wearing beige pants and dark sunglasses. You don't see younger blind women like you and me out there. The other thing that I think people get confused by is the fact that because my condition is degenerative, I grew up fully sighted and still have 10 degrees central vision. So my eyes look focused and "clear" and I look right at people when they are talking. I think many people have the misperception that blind people can't make eye contact or hold a steady gaze (i.e. they may have encountered a blind person who is born blind whose eyes often roll up at the ceiling, or when you look at their eyes, they aren't focused or steady). Again, I think it's that lack of exposure to the different types of vision loss, and I can understand why people get confused given the lack of general awareness out there. But! That's where people like you are so valuable in helping to dispel these misconceptions, so thank you for that!

Fashioneyesta I agree.
I relate to so many things in this video. People tell me I don’t look blind all the time. I’ve also gotten “you’re too pretty to be blind“ which is even more offensive to me. People are also so confused because I wear glasses and I use a cane. They see me using my cane but also looking around and they just can’t comprehend. I plan on making a video on this topic on my own channel
Captions done. Brilliant video Emily, I did this tag in my blog as well. People often assume my sight is worse that it is too, and have said that I don't look visually impaired, so I know the feeling. That's why I loved discovering KZreadrs like yourself and then dipped my toes into the blogging waters in support. Still, some people have also said that I don't look like I'm in my 30s (thankfully implying I look younger), so that's one misconception I'm happy to encourage, lol! :)

Emily you're looking fabulous, loving your makeup and embroidered top. Any plans for a spring wardrobe blog soon? I'm in need of some inspiration, outfits with flat footwear to go with these. Heels are so impracticle for me now due to my visual impairment. I totally agree with all the topics you've covered here.
