    If you guys knew anything about Ben Weinman you'd know the last thing he wants is a pissing contest to who's the better guitarist. Of course Marty is better. But neither of them could ever write any of the songs that the other wrote. Completely different styles. Completely different vibes. Ben doesn't see himself as some guitar hero he's just a musician/songwriter. Dude is super humble. All you people are doing is comparing apples to oranges.

    Part of what makes the artist so great is they get so deep into their music its border line mental. It's also what keeps them out of touch with what fans want, not that they necessarily care. They make masterpieces and that's their stamp in music history, they wont always make things pleasing to their fans. But for a short period they create things that will live on forever

    I think all megadeth fans look for closure when it comes to Marty, neither dave or him really give a straight answer to the question, there was no big fight or breaking point, it just ended like that and that emptiness remains, Disotopia is an amazing album and I am the biggest Kiko fan but in the background I can still hear marty's odd bends and arpeggios

  • @jimjambananaslam3596

    @jimjambananaslam3596

    6 жыл бұрын

    Marty and Dave are both very creative and driven people, and sometimes that turns collaboration into compromise. I don't think there was a specific incident, and Marty really did just want to go do his own thing, but there is a little tension there. I don't know if it's towards Dave or just because no matter what Marty does, people still want to talk to him about Megadeth. He probably doesn't feel like Megadeth was entirely his own and stuff. I'm just guessing of course. And you're right, I don't know if it's intentional or not, but there's definitely still a little Marty in Megadeth's sound.

    Rocky Coroner Sorry Mr Megafan, did I say he is better than Marty for a fact? No, I didn't. And if I must, then the jazz break to Sugar Coated Sour or 43% Burnt.

    Love how Ben didn't let him get away with that bogus answer. I feel like many people who ask that let him get away with him giving a BS explanation as to why he won't do a Megadeth reunion.

    Who are Megadeath anyway? i liked some Friedman on the album "Go Off" with Becker which I bought for musical academic reasons, and studying all types of guitar techniques. i bought Dillinger because I had too, i got addicted to it. ;●)
