@@joeyghostx when she went sicko mode all my nuggets were killed. I couldn't even deal half her hp as damage. So to avoid that I needed to either kill my nuggets on some other abnormality, which costs more points than I get, or win a 50/50 multiple times a day which requires too much luck. The actual time for a day for me was still under 2 hours, but I'm 100% sure it'll go up to 3 with a few more abnormalities.

This has nothing to do with Gacha Life. This game is the sequel to Lobotomy Corporation the SCP management game by Project Moon. Project Moon released a new game since this video came out. Limbus Company takes place sometime after Library of Ruina, but you needn't play Ruina to understand its story and the game is free to play on Steam and mobile devices. Go give it a try! How the hell did you guys even get here? Yes I've beaten her since. There's a video of that with much more effort in it than this.

Yeah. Unlike most rpg/card games, you actually need to use your brain and strategize a plan in very specific fights. You can't win with just putting the best cards/equipment and hoping you can breeze through the entire game Not to mention most of Library of Ruina's mechanics are RNG based, which is already bad enough

@@tetsuchris9636 Actually, I started from the beginning recently since I wanted to get the achievements and play the game in its final form, you can for the most part trivialize the annoying part of current KoD with Fleche from the Seven Association general reception + Solidarity from Workshop affiliated fixers Key Page if you're confident in your ability to not die. Speaking of Not dying did you know that apparently even after they nerfed the rats fight three or so times over the course of early access people still somehow manage to lose to it? Not even as a bit either, just properly lose to the tutorial fight. Hearing and seeing this happen both inflict a great deal of rage and confusion to me.

As sir hokma once said. "Welcome to the difficulty cliff, bad managers get off at this stop."

"Bad" in this case meaning "Aware of and non-subservient to the Sunk Cost Fallacy". When a game's latter two thirds or more is a quilt stitched almost entirely out of Quit Moments, only the truly self-destructive will press on. Or those who place their entire self-worth in skill at a specific video game created by insane sadists.

As an aside: I really do like Queen of Hatred and her fellow Magical Girls: Knight of Despair, King of Greed, and (WonderLab exclusive) Servant of Wrath.

I love the walls that Library of Ruina throws at you in terms of difficulty. I can think of a couple more that just absolutely floored me for a good, long time. As a general rule, if you hear music with lyrics, you should probably be afraid.

Fun fact, queen of hatreds fight is cheesed by one set of cards and it's literally all GUN, the fight doesn't last long enough for exhaustion to factor in and the dmg from the guns usually pierce through most of her dice

Its is not the reason that being ranged attacks means being strong, but in truth that +5 power turn 1 on two triple offensive die attacks can deal too much damage. And the best away to achieve that is with full-stop ranged pages (and later Feint from the Night Awls).

Never heard of this game before, but I LOVE when videogames create horror through the gameplay itself. I might have to check this game out, especially considering I know about their other games already.

You should also check out Lobotomy Corporation, made by the same people. It's a facility management game where you extract energy from "abnormalities" which are basically just SCP's with nice organized pages with lore and rules that you have to follow for each one to make sure it doesn't finger blast your entire facility in 5 seconds. Once again, this style creates horror through gameplay alone, since some days you end up spending up to multiple hours carefully managing your facility, which naturally gives you an extreme fear of anytime something happens that you didn't expect. Both of these games are filled with "casual filters" so expect to cry as you try to train yourself to be the perfect manager.

But she ended up losing all her clashes so she transformed 🙃🙃🙃 so that was fun. Once I got good rng to lose a few clashes each round, it was pretty smooth sailing from there. 🌱 I don't remember how many tries it took though lmao

To be fair it's very depressing, throughout the entire fight she needs to keep telling herself that they're evil because SHE is the good guy of the story.

I just used the rusted chainlink's pages. The self-bleed was far less brutal than being hit by Queen of Hatred and the bleed stacks that she recived meant that her resistances where less important in the fight. I feel like she is the first fight where you really have to build around.

You don't necessarily have to build around it. The key to winning the fight is to purposefully lose some clashes and be careful of who gets one sided attacks in. Edit: Okay, certain builds are needed to win the fight. None of the current builds I had could intentionally lose clashes.

@@prawngravy18 nope, doesnt even have microtransactions. Its an offline story type game where ya get your cards by defeating enemies on certain levels, no other way to get them. And also no stamina system. You could theoretically blaze through the game in about 3 days with the amount of content in it. Its an amazing game, just a hard one. Like dark souls except cards and alot of death and sad moments.

the tactic I used for this is that I put walter page on one of the librarian with block dice, try to focus clashing on her, **but lose** those clash so she won't transform and negate the damage with block dices and sometimes recover stagger, while other librarians focus on beating her up in one sided attacks. it takes a while for me to utilize what to do

This was the video that got me into PM games, ever since then I've completed ruina, am up to date on limbus and im trying to play lob corp (and read all the novels) thank you for making this video!

And it's this fight that taught me why single die melee pages exist

Sounds like she's one of those "grind gates". Ratchet & Clank 2 has two maps that are massive didiculty spikes - you're meant to go back to previous areas, get more XP and money, etc, then continue. And there's nothing wrong with that, really. It's also like when you unlock a secret ultraboss early on - that doesn't mean you're supposed to fight it yet!

first one at the urban plague: dawn office, wedge office, lovetown. second one at the urban nightmare: sweepers, 8 oclock circus, the crying children third one at the asiyah floors realization fourth one at the second part of the SoTC: Liu1, the redmist, RRR1 Fifth one at the whole third part of the SoTC plus briah floors realiztion sixth one at the reverberation ensemble (distorted), the black silence, aziluth floos realizations.

I never played this game. But I did for a bit of Lobotomy Corp. Like it, I will not say, mutter or even see content of it. If I were to ever return making videos. How I would approach this game in a review would be, of a game, almost mysterious that, telling will let you not needing to even buy the game. Simply a proper guide. I adore the curiosity you can receive from it. And the story as well which, I once accidentally Google a word and saw it had a significance, down to the symbols too. Almost makes me terrified of what I can learn...

Man, so true. I spent 10 hours to beat this magical mess. Never wanna do that again lol.

library of ruina and l corp where the first games to actually teach me the meaning of fear. i cannot understand why but out of many games ive played (including horror games) ive never felt anything remotely close to whatever the fuck i felt seeing my librarians die one by one because of some insane doing boss (im fucking looking at you philip and tomerry), that shit just crushed me that i had to take a break for the amount of despair ive felt

This game is my top “fuck you, see you tomorrow” game. I play it for a few hours, hit another vertical spike, and rage quit after getting stuck for an hour. Then I go back anyway the next day because it is so good.

I'm going to admit this, I had trouble with Forsaken Murderer but when I get to this fight, I'm going to feel the same way I felt in the Forsaken Fight. Internal anger.

I remember I almost killed her in phase 1 but then she transformed and I somehow managed to luck my way through it and killed her in phase 2

that's possible? she had around 25hp but I chickened out because of the phase 2 thingy and didn't attack resulting in her staggering everyone to death.

Oh god this video is such a mood. I unlocked this fight today and I've already unsuccessfully fought this boss like 10 times. I got her down to 14 health one time, but generally I can only manage to hit ~64 on my "lucky" runs before getting destroyed. QoH's stagger damage is insane, and even 3 Sayo pages with tons of bleed cards is still not enough for me to complete this. Guess I have to grind out Urban Nightmare for better cards...

why is this the best music ive ever heard

don't you hate it when a game has enemy encounters that force you to actually use your brain and come up with a strategy instead of just smashing your librarians against the wall and hope you win but on the other hand it just so happens that the best strategy for this specific encounter is to smash it with a party of full stop librarians

My four blunt unga-bunga decks on Yesod's floor carried me to SotC without having to do that pesky thinking thing. I used it for pretty much every abnormality fight. Just juggled that deck between every floor and it worked shockingly well.

When I went to check if it was you I saw that you originally posted it with about 60 hours in. The one thing I’m curious about is whether you finished it by the time the video was made, or since then? If so, what do you recommend for Star of The City? this is a cry for help

@@Sulvr I was at the reverb ensemble when the video went up, and beat the game like a week later. Star of the city takes patience, like, a lot of patience, because every fight will absolutely test every neuron of your brain. Even after beating the game I really didn't know what I'm doing, so as long as you read every passive and don't rage you'll be good.

@@snomsquad1796 Yoo just managed to brick my 70 hour save file after locking an annoying bird in a cage. I don't think this is what you meant, but replaying the game until I'm back to where I was will test my patience even if it's with cheats. But yeah I'll try to comprehend what cards do and enemy passives better.

I guess you just got blessed by the algorithm, congrats!

The first wall I ran into was the gang with the first legendary card you see in the game, then I realized I can equip passive cards.

If there is one lesson to be learned in life: the waifu wins, every time.

Half the difficulty came from the fact that I had no fucking idea how mass attacks worked for the first 20-30 attempts.

man this game looks good, like theres a lot of details on every attack im not that good at stategy games but ima give this a try

Definetly do. BUT Be prepared for pain, both of this kind and the emotional kind, the story has a few parts that are ... oof Edit: No shame if you can't get through the whole game, but if you get stuck download a few cheats and finish at least for the story, it's great.

@@denodagor lol, this is killing me. I hate cheating in games, but the fights are partly luck-based and it's starting to annoy me. I've heard good things about the story all around though, and that keeps me playing. Is the story really so great that it's worth cheating for if you get stuck?

@@divisionn6380 I'd say play it until you kill the 'Love Town' boss, if you haven't (Cheating or not). That's about when the game hit me hardest. If that doesn't grab your attention then maybe it's not your cup of tea. At least for me this game is definitely worth reading like a visual novel if you don't like the combat. There's a mod that unlocks the console commands and you can just use /win (or something, i don't remember now) to finish fights instantly and just keep going. So it won't even waste too much of your time if you end up not enjoying it as much. Better than just dropping the game completely.

She didn't even need to transform to obliterate you (Yes, she can transform, and she's even deadlier in her giant snake form)

@@zeraphyretrinity2858 already beat lovetown only took two tries it ended in a draw which counted as a victory and the E.G.O buffed guy once Can't beat the QoH right now tho I always get close but she always ends up on top because of her health pool, I have tried bleed and burn but still no dice

@@countdown4246 Lovetown is one of my favourites Becuase of the tragedy and aftermath. For QoH she uses a lot of ranged attacks, bring in a single roll high damage page like Oscar's Transpierce or Valentin's cards for ranged. If that doesn't work, switching more bleeds will probably just win you the game

@@zeraphyretrinity2858 ya I was using going for bullseye since it has a min roll of 6, BTW is the boundary of death in instakill of does it just do a lot of damage? Oh and I think I need Yujin key page to use right? Unless my game got bugged and now I can't use it even tho I got it

I think the first proper struggle boss for me was the Red mist. Then probably Something there. I remember sinking a lot of time into those two before beating them.

Me who played a little of Library of ruina, who also didn't notice it was a continuation of lobotomy corporation. The same who only saw 3 characters from lobotomy corporation, because i never played it, and this magical girl being one of the characters I've seen: "...what"

I have no idea what this game even is, but I love it.

This fight is legit agony when I first tried thinking it would be a cake walk, and I just kept on needing light when ever she does a mass attack because our emotion level can only go to 1 and u can only replenish ur light once while u don’t have the actual good light restoration card Available, I was on able to beat it cuz I had the 2 legendary pierce dmg based key pages to beat her

fun fact: every time someone says a learning curve is steep, that actually means the game is incredibly easy based on a real graph. Obviously not what they mean, including this situation, but I find it funny.
