The difference between Art Deco and Art Nouveau
The Open Art Fair visited Jeroen Markies Art Deco at their East Sussex showroom specialising in Art Deco furniture, sculpture, glassware and more.
Here, he shows us the differences between the Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles through different bronze sculptures and also shows us some of his collection of glassware.

Thank you for this video. The two styles are often wrongly interchanged by people or Mishmashed.

Nice scarf.
The way I've always seen it is that Art nouveau was nature, curves and female form as perfection (scandalous at the time). Art Deco was cold hard machines, boxy and the return of the male form as perfection.
