Fink and Suchong are such interesting characters, in my opinion.

@TheBioshockHub aren't friends since both are intellectual ambitious sociopaths that were responsible within their worlds advancements in sciences that work closely with the founder and leader comstock and ryan?
Fink was a very involved and major character in the story and the building of Colombia. I really wished he had a bigger role as an antagonist, maybe a boss fight of some sort would've been interesting or something to give him more personal depth. His look always reminded me of Bill the Butcher from Gangs of New York.

Jeremiah Fink kinda reminds me of a early 1900’s Elon Musk. Both are unscrupulous Business Men who made money off of slavery and are quite willing to support any brand of fanaticism to make money off of it. Both also have a child they never talk about.

That would be so dope. I know the people who created the "Welcome to Rapture" mod on Half Life Alyx.
Regarding the question of do I think it's worth living every day if I know that every day is going to be full of horrid pain, the answer to that one is: yes. After all, I live such a life, having an incurable and permanent case of CRPS (complex regional pain syndrome, one of the most painful illnesses a human being can have), and this is the answer I will stick to even if it's been a long time of nonstop, never ending, and never stopping nerve pain. Now the caveat I think is I am not living my life like this cause some greedy Willy Wonka cosplayer decided to inflict it upon me after a few sales pitches and promises, though is bad luck really that much different? But I digress, as a question was asked, and I answered, as I can't even recall what not being in pain is like, and this is how I will live the rest of my life too.

Other companies in the time period did the same thing Fink did. Pay his people in script that was only taken at the "Company Store". Sad as it is the "intermigration" tactics used on Chen Lin were *normal* for the time period. The police beating the crap out of someone to get a confession in capital cases was done routinely. sm

It was so messed up. That's also why I mentioned that racism was rampant at that point in time, so it doesn't surprise me that "working conditions" would be like that as well.

Ah bio shock a cornerstone of my old KZread days... I still remember when we told the guy at Walmart bioshock infinite was just ok and a bit of a cop out The look on his face is still priceless Ah memories... I for one think the greater themes of these games are directly inspired by by the lives of the directors at the time The original bioshock was the first major project after the old system shock games it was originally going to be another sequel but the licence got taken from them The theme of rampant capitalism at first being a magor boon then changing and corrupting all aspects of society... Just seems a bit to coincidental... Like wise infinite seems to be lost in a quest to live up to expectations intending to make a deep and meaningful commentary but being changed over and over with different staff settings and so on Eventually having so many different versions of the game with so many "flaws" realizing that there was no right or wrong answer no way to satisfy every critic It makes the somewhat surreal but random ending seem like a letter to the player Or I could just be some nut rambling on about nonsense on KZread.... They do have a lot of those

I also have to wonder what kind of lives people live in the timelines with Booker and not Columbia, what people like Fink and Daisy do when they're not in the floating city?
