The Devil Wears Prada - Supernova

Where will you go? Where will you be?
When you forever sleep, when you leave me
If we could just stay here, lose track of time, I would be
Just fine in a galactic sea
Across the universe I am floating apart from the ordinary
Do my friends miss me? Do they recall my name?
As I’m one with a supernova
Light curves the sky
No prediction, anticipation
Light curves the sky
Where will you go? Where will you be?
When you forever sleep, when you leave me
If we could just stay here, lose track of time, I would be
Just fine in a galactic sea
I’ll never understand
I can’t wrap my head around it
An explosion, disintegration, radiates so beautifully
Where will you go? Where will you be?
When you forever sleep, when you leave me
If we could just stay here, lose track of time, I would be
Just fine in a galactic sea
A star’s core collapses
A black hole might formulate
So much energy, I feel you burning up
I feel you burning
Where will you go? Where will you be?
When you forever sleep, when you leave me
If we could just stay here, lose track of time, I would be
Just fine in a galactic sea

Most bands that were good back then now sound chill and soft. TDWP is one of the bands that is still going in terms of how they sound. It's different but sounds as heavy as ever and I hope they stay that way.

Whether you're a fan of the old music or new. There's no denying that TDWP is one of the few bands that keep their sound that we all love and know but progress and try something different with each album / EP they put out. At least these guys still have that heaviness to them. May not be as heavy as the old stuff but this is still good and at least they haven't sold out like most of the other bands in this genre ! Of Mice & Men, We Came As Romans, Bring me the horizon, ETC. Be grateful these guys are still staying true to Metalcore ! Be grateful They're still making music!

  • @ryancaldwellracing

tdwpvsabr I hate when people use that term "sell out". Just because a band changes from metalcore doesnt mean that they are worsethan they were, or are sellouts, it means they want to do a different style. And you are basing BMTH on ONE song, that apperently Oli said was a one off idea. C'mon man, dont get butthurt when a band wants to experiment with a different style.

TDWP is known as a complicated band because the material-lyrics and instrumental are so outrageous. It's the TDWP, they're growing to a point they can prove they could write beautiful song in every way possible.

Am I the only one who thinks Prada has actually improved on every single album? On each album the music composition has improved. The instrumental abilities have improved. Jeremy's voice has improved. Mike has created a vocal sound that is entirely his own. They've become more dynamic and more emotional. They've grown and they've changed in so many ways. WRAABB will always be my favorite album for sentimental reasons, but I think that 8:18 is easily their best musical work. Honestly, if you didn't like 8:18, listen to it a few more times. I didn't like it at all at first, but then I gave it a few more chances and now I think it's their best work. Anyway, I LOVED this song. It's the first song that they've released in years that's left a good first impression on me. I can't wait to hear the rest!

***** I guess most fans didn't like 818 because it wasn't has heavy as Dead Throne, but for me 818 had way more moments where it left me breathless. Both albums are amazing but 818 was a step in the right direction for the band.

***** I agree. however I usually like heavy songs but I also like when the band changes a bit and adds new genres in their own music because in my opinion this gives more musical wealth and creativity to the band.

Stefan Grossman while 8:18 wasn't so heavy, it was very raw in nature, especially Mike's vocals.

I love it, tdwp has been my favorite band for 6 years. They were the first band I got into with screaming and they never cease to amaze me with their music making skills. I just wanna point out that the part around the end where they were singing and screaming where will you go, where will you be" for the last moments were so sick with the instruments just surrounding the vocals with that melodic tdwp sound. Again I say, I love it

One of the things I don't like about The Devil Wears Prada is the fact that the harsh vocals always sound blown out, but in this song, they don't sound so. That's a good sign, I'm liking what they're doing here.

How is nobody commenting on the fact that Hranica just put out lyrics that not only describe the unknown aspects of space but also can relate to anybody's close relationship with anybody else, whether it's romantic or family? This is the kind of lyrical ability I can't help but be envious of.
