    Blakeney was a grand Derby winner and as a four year old finished second to the great Nijinsky giving him weight for age in the King George at Ascot , super horse . Trained by Arthur Budgett , who also won the Derby with Morston , ridden by Eddie Hide , both places in Norfolk .

    Ribofilio was doped before the Guineas and was never the same again , his trainer , Fulke Johnson Houghton rated him far superior to both Ribocco and Ribero , both classic winners , he would have won this race doing handsprings if the " Knobblers" hadn't got to him
