Thanks for the overview! This was on my radar after seeing the cover of the deluxe edition but I didn't know anything about it. Sounds right up my alley and I can't wait to check it out!

Watching your video now after leaving my comment and we both started here with this excellent writer! The art here reminded me of the stylised art in Morrisons Arkham asylum a serious house on serious earth. I did buy vol 4 in trade and ive only read it once but it didnt live up to the first 3 trades collected here imo. That said im hoping when i reread vol 4 ill enjoy it more.
Loved this book. I enjoyed the art too. Very stylised. First time ive read anything by Tynion and i was very impressed with his prose. So much so i bought and read his something is killing the children deluxe edition which i enjoyed but not as much as The Department of truth. Ive just ordered his Detective comics batman omnibus too so im looking forward to reading that. ✌️
