The main message isn't about physical objects like TVs or cabinets. The purpose is to increase our awareness of WHAT we may unknowingly prioritize OVER God in our households (it could be social media, food, hobbies, etc.) And we'll need the Holy Spirit to help open our eyes and help us take appropriate action.

Spot on! Similarly, I remember years ago being at a church I used to belong to before I moved. Several people were in Sunday night service and pastor was preaching on addictions and talking specifically about alcohol. I kid you not there were several people there were saying “amen” and “preach it pastor” with the NFL playoffs playing on their phone at the same time.

My husband's grandmother passed away many, many years ago. She was born in 1878. When her daughter (my husband's mother and my mother-inlaw) purchased their first television set (I believe in the early 1950's), the grandmother said the television is evil. Makes perfect sense to me. People focus their attention on the tube...attention they should be giving God and His Holy Word...the Bible. This country has gone downhill thanks to the world of entertainment...movies, shows, theater and music. Sad.

That's why it's important to read & study the Bible, "..in order to show ourselves 'approved" like it says in 2 Timothy 2:15 "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 🙏🏻🕊️

This is convicting. I have been giving a lot of thought lately to how much time we spend staring blankly at the TV. Even though we select wholesome content, we are literally spending large chunks of our lives passively staring. Granted we cannot spend 100% of our time actively doing something constructive. We all need some downtime. But something feels out of balance, at least for me.

You’re not just actively staring. You’re being programmed. That’s why they are called “programs”. Then you have channels to channel things into you. You have a guide (tv guide) that to guide you where they want you to go. It’s called a broadcast as it casts spells into you. TV is witchcraft.

Tell a social media junkie to not pick up their phone. TV, like all of the other things i mentioned, was made to be addictive. What is called food in America is too. Sugar, MSG etc is all addictive. It’s your internet connection and your tv. In my home, we worship the Lord, so there’s no TV in the living room. AND there is a true alter, that we pray the holy sacrifice of the mass on. The biggest thing we did for our children was getting rid of the tv and homeschool them. Most don’t love their children enough to get rid of it, bc they themselves have the addiction. For our young, it’s tough for a couple days, maybe a couple weeks, depending on how long you’ve taught them to worship that programming box. It will be harder for you, than for them. But the fruit that comes from that, it keeps on giving. They don’t desire social media, they have no chaos, drama, or anxieties. They do not know any sports, entertainers, actors or singers names, what they do, who they are in relationships with. But can talk for hours, which is their favorite thing to do, on topics of politics, religion, philosophy, books, theology, morality, know all the virtues and pray one them. Can cook, clean, and do for themselves, all aspects of an independent life by the time each were 10. You cannot serve two masters

I disagree. You can have stuff, but you don't worship the stuff. You can have a TV, but the TV is not your god. It's just a box that provides entertainment once in awhile, when you are not doing other things. If you spend all your time watching TV, then your life is very basic. It's healthy to have many activities and interests. Try to find a balance between work, school, family, hobbies. Just remember to keep God at the center of all you do. He is your rock. He is your foundation.

Televison - Tell a Vision (Like visiting a fortune teller) Different Channels - Channeling different gateways and portals (Yes, you've seen that on the internet when searching for something on Google but it never made a major impact because you've been desensitized like crazy) All so that evil can programme your mind, to control your emotional frequencies (Programmes are now called shows because they know that some people are aware now) On a black box, that was first patented as a, Magic Box. If only i had enough time to show the full illustration. Ya'll don't even know what your TV does when you're asleep. It would terrify you.

I was told years ago that whatever you turn to in your time of need is your god. I’m not agreeing with the tv or whatever being an altar. Unless you pray and treat that item as such. If I use a specific machine or anything at work for eight or more hours that’s an altar too? Sorry, but I don’t think so.

Yeah but I don’t bow down to it and prey to. This is why I am a strong believer but I’m not into religion because it complicates everything that should be common sense. God gave you a gift of life so enjoy it because sure you don’t have to be evil but as a believer you concern what’s good or bad and in a world of flesh and sin no one is immune. So be aware just don’t lock yourself away fearing darkness. Most preachers don’t tell you if you believe, evil holds no power as long as you don’t have fear.

so do i need to be legalistic and throw my phone and tv out even though i just watched a pastor on the altar (phone screen) that i also sinfully give into pornographic addictions on. On the same altar that I also listen to my audio Bible on? Relevant question. Prescient question. Highly conflicting inside of my small unintelligent mind. But tell me the answer anyway. Where would I be without the grace of Jesus Christ? Or have I superseded the extent of the grace of Jesus Christ? I don’t think so. Or, better perhaps, I sure hope not.

Moses' Law? When is enough enough? This war on whether Christians should keep the law of "Moses" has gone on forever. So let me ask you this. It isn't "Moses' law" it's God's Law with Moses acting like a mediator. Wouldn't it be better to lean on our faith and allow our God to defend, protect, provide etc. all those things that has been preached for centries on what all our God can do, isn't it yet time to see if He is true. Can we know for sure that our God will fight for us or not. If our God can do half of what we are told, then why don't we just do what God says and see what happens. After all, aren't we to prove all things? We know God demands certain things from a nation in order to do all that we need Him to do. But as it has been told, God never changes. So can we not test Him? Can a group of enough people come together to make up a nation? We don't know how many that would consist of. But if, no matter where you are from, anyone, and everyone was invited by Jesus to come, in any nation can do what they can from the law of God to make a nation? World wide? Should be no problem. God said He woud gather His people from the corners of the earth, so all can join in on testing the "Christian God". If you love Jesus, love also His Father and do what you can from the whole Bible and whatever one can't do, another can. So let's go to work and see if God can and will deliver us from evil. What do you say. What will you do? How great is our faith? God isn't a Christian God, or a Muslim God, nor a Jewish God. God doesn't have a special people, He is a God for all the people and that includes you. We can do this. Come join us in our attempt to defeat evil. If not for yourself, then for those who will have to deal with the consequences of our actions. Don't be the one left behind.

That's why it's gotta be so difficult to be a public speaker. Everything stated comes with nuance. Anything worshipped is basically an altar. A tv, a menorah, a torture device (cross)... I couldn't possibly try to hold that sort of responsibility for so many lives and their beliefs. Everyone does the same things and justifies them differently. We as humans race to the end, only to realize the beauty was in the journey, all along. religious people hang so dearly to an afterlife that can't be proven (it can't it's why "faith") that they stop thinking about the now. The real objective truth. As an Atheist, I've never felt more free and away from the shackles of mindless hope and fear of eternal torture. I don't judge anymore over others beliefs and actually accept everyone for whom they are. christians say you can't know love without god. i say you can't know real love WITH god. not if you actually read the bible people claim to follow.
