This video is incredible, however, I just have to say that there are HUNDREDS of heavyweight armwrestlers in Australia that are training everyday for years trying to be the best in their respective country. Bowen is an elite armwrestler and better than 99.9 percent of armwrestlers and that is a fact.

he didnt have ANYTHING for lachlan, as a matter of fact, it seems like hes gotten worse. maybe he has ligament/tendon/joint damage from trying to lift such heavy weights when he was never really that strong to begin with. i thought he'd have atleast some fighting chance when they went to the strap but he literally had nothing for lachlan

@@Nick-cp8wf Oh come on man. Ryan literally didn't budge Lachlan off center, move Lachlan's fingers back, or even start first. By the time Ryan hit at Lachlan, the guy already contained and gained hand dominance. Ryan talks about his endurance, but he got worse as the rounds went on. In round 4-5, Ryan was literally overwhelmed by Lachlan just hitting with wrist flexion alone. I don't know what dominance looks like in an armwrestle, but that's as close as it gets imo.

Ryan flip-flop his training too much, change his ways too often, train like Hutching then want to imitate M.Todd. He just don t train long enough and stick to one style. He is Ok at all but master of none and that s the problem.

@@colorfulbleeding I think Ryan has great potential in the 195-165 pounds range. The guy's 6'2 to my knowledge, and he has reasonable hook, toproll, and pressing ability. His problem is that his training is absolutely terrible no matter how you look at it. If he had trained once a week by armwrestling with other people, he'd of gotten farther than now with all his weight training. Is that because weight training's bad? Hell no, it's just that Ryan destroys his body doing stupid bullshit. He's torn his labrum training in the break-arm position. That's a permanent reduction in his overall ability. He'll quote John Brzenk having the same issue, but Ryan isn't John Brzenk; Ryan needs every bit of oomph he can get. Ryan won't commit to any meaningful weight loss, so the guy is sitting at a pretty fat 220-ish when he could easily cut down to 190 if he just stuck to a high protein diet with solid fiber intake. Anyways, I won't mention anymore outside of this: Ryan's a case study in someone ignoring basic advice from professionals, resulting in him destroying his body.
