I have a lot of females that come to me for advice or want to share knowledge and information with me but I don't call them my friends, they're close associates. The next level is sister if they're dating a friend I look at as a brother or my actual brother or male cousin. If either of you has thought about having sex, you're not platonic friends. If you're doing girlfriend-ish and boyfriend-ish things with one another, you're not platonic friends.
