Much respect to Johnny for staying home and taking care of his kids

1974 was the best year for my life and the Dells music moved me. Still does and that was 46 yrs ago. I love Marvin to this day. R.I.H ❤

74 I was one year old lol..I died in 71 and came right back in 73 so, my soul knows everything from about 1939...on...why in 1993 while hip hop was prominent, id be off to the side listening to big band swing, and Motown. Early 60s before Marvin Gaye had a hit, before david ruffin joined the tempts..yep.....no one ever dies my friend...

I still listen to them each and every day. Oh what a night is my favorite!

I fell in love with the Dell's when I was in junior HS! L. Chess was a true sleaze balll. Saw the Dell's when they came back to Philly in 1995!!!

The Mighty Mighty Dells, the greatest group of all time. That's my group, "The Dells".

He said it in the Beginning, they'd became the greatest Group, of Doo Warp, Jazz's/R&B/Soul they'd Learned. I Loved It's. Every single Person, Artist or Group: members, comes from: A Gospel background, and they're the best, Singers. I am still loving You You all To- Day, they become A Gift to Me. I don't agree they sing good but I truly believe the Temptation was is the greatest group of all time but no one has to agree with me but the world seems to agree, Apostle Dr Matthews much love and respect ❤️

I knew I loved Johnny Carter before watching this video, and knew that he replaced Johhny Funches in the Dells, but now that I hear the circumstances, I love him EVEN MORE... He is now one of the few to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Hall in 2 different groups. I'm glad the Flamingos didn't try to block him from being inducted with them... He deserves is for being sooooo loyal to both groups!...

Groups just don't have what the Dells, Blue Magic, Earth wind and others had.Music was the best then and still is.

People gotta be outta their darned brains to sleep on one of the all time greatest harmony groups. I love the sound of the Delfonics myself. I heard them the first time back in 1973. I’ve collected all their music right up until this day. Black ivory- Soul Generation- Blue Magic-jimmy Brisqoe and the lil Beavers-you name them I’ve got them. But I can Sing A Rainbow by the Great Dells “ is my all time favorite. Keep listening to Great music my friend. It’ll never be the same 💯🇺🇸

Yer Marvin showed him sung him right off the stage to bad the Dell's and the other singers wasn't paid as good as they should have been there's was a lot of money cheating out of back then being a star good but you need money more.
