William " poogie" Heart from Philly, the Delfonics has always been an extraordinary group from primarily the late 60s thru 1973...One of the top Soul groups( as we often called them in my youthful days) ..along with groups such as the intruders, ( by the way, the intruders we're probably the most underrated/ unappreciated group in my humble opinion.., the dells, chilites, bloodstone, temptations. and many, many more, as we danced in my friends homes on the pitch dark living Rooms..the good ole days!!

OMG they take me back to peace, love and having fun with the neighbors and their children, my friends who were protective of me and my sisters and girlfriends. They were real gentlemen and they tried nothing. They KNEW better. LOL. I love the Delphonics one of my fav groups. RIP William Hart.

My high school years and they performed at class of 69 prom in Paterson NJ Eastside High school. The next year was the spinners and I had an opportunity to spend a weekend with Wilbur and Sheila Hart at their home in West Philly. Very hospitable people and I had a memorable week end with them. We went to see BB King in Atlantic City and went to Muhammad Ali's house when he lived in Cherry Hill NJ. My boyfriend was a photographer for the group for a while in 1971.

What happen to the music that some of us grow up listening to??? It is just priceless, and sometimes we need to pull out the music of our past.

Harmoney, melody, instrumental, and great lyrics! Should be part of the playlist of every elevator and on hold music, around the world.
