Do you have any security concerns around using the DPN in your own network and your internet traffic around passwords, financial institutions, crypto passwords/keys etc...? I have been interested in this project but I am not sure that I want to expose this info through the Deeper Network.

None of that information is ever saved so no concerns there. The network is server less and distributed. The biggest threat with this project is sharing your bandwidth with others who can potentially be nefarious actors. However your device does have logs which can prove the nefarious activity was not performed by you but by someone who is untraceable on the network.

Subscribed. Thanks for this . I am glad as IT professional, it is good in concept. But needs work. Won't be buying one anytime soon, since I am in the US. Better off real VPN.

Dude I have had all of the same issues you mentioned I also got in during phase 1 ( also Tier 3) and have also been having a lot of trouble with the DPN service. I would honestly disconnect the device from my internet if I could but I love the mining aspect. I like the a lot and its a genius idea but im debating if I should derisk a little bit and unstake some of my coins and drop a tier when my 9 months are up.

Okay I'm glad I'm not the only one lol. Yea same here regarding derisking. I'd make sure it's not more than 10% of your cyrptofolio. I'd like to see some development progress with some of the issues mentioned

@@SuitTV did u end up unstaking? Such bullshit how they made it if you unstake even part of your stake you lose the genesis status. I ended up just restaking and hodling for the next couple years

I have the mini. I have not had issues with using the smart mode at all. Internet slowed a little bit but not to the point I’m concerned. I just got the device, a week in, all streaming services work fine, no issues with accessing work VPNs and no issues with visiting any websites in the US that I normally visit and shop on

Yea but as I said in the video, smart route doesn't route all your traffic. Only the sites that the deeper team choose. So you're only using the DPN feature on some sites.

I,m in europe and i have no problems You mention, only a fan change but that is easy to do

Thanks for the video. I was super excited about the project and was about to purchase the product , but after you mentioned that you cant DPN in the US it seems pointless since I live in the US.

Yea exactly. Unless you want to use it to DPN to other countries it's not worth it. Hopefully they can fix that

Can you disable sharing your bandwidth? If you just want to use the device for tunneling and ad blocks and security etc, can you just disable sharing bandwidth if you have no interest in the incentive to get crypto tokens?

I got Mini with basic mining. No issue except for slowing down my Gigabit Internet by half. What I need is how to figure out TAX to report to Uncle SAM at year end. If you know how please provide some info. I am staking to Tier 7 and let my daily earning to reach Tier 8. Thanks

There is no official laws or guidelines about taxing staking released by the IRS. However there is laws that say mining is considered regular income. Since this is staking I'd be safe and tax it as ordinary income. This couple just won a case against the IRS arguing that it should not be taxed on the year it was earned but rather when they sell it. www.coindesk.com/policy/2022/02/03/irs-offers-tezos-staker-refund-on-rewards-tax-in-break-from-current-policy/

Im over here in Europe and it seems like theres not that much issues with the internet connection and blocking stuff. i would like to see the price go up soon, at least we got a fixed APR ;-)

Yes the fixed apr is great but ultimately the products usefulness will drive demand and price up. I'm glad to hear you haven't had the same issues as I have had.

It is a startup company. Still building. Investors require patience. They are testing their system daily. Four and a half months is less than a second in Startup time. Look at all the big corporations. Many many years before they became mainstream.

Yea but I point out some big issues they haven't addressed. I hope they do soon. Any startup that sells a product and it fails after 4.5months and then it's impossible to get a response from the team is not a good sign.

May I know why u disappointed about the project however ur daily share is above 10MB and u getting reward daily ? I watched Big part of ur video but still don't know what investor need except trusting the project and getting the reward on time.

The parts I'm disappointed in are later on in the video. Different functionality that is easily used by a VPN such as vpning in your own country are not available with DPN.
