Homie's going an absolute rampage! Bringing on shadows fourth time in a row! 😂

The trick is controlling alignment because Zapdos - never mind, HSH mentioned it himself.

Shadow Zapdos = Charizard dps and bulk + Swampert spamminess equivalent but is electric + flying. You will win CMP against pretty much every pokemon unless they are running something like Haunter/Gengar or any high attack pokemon which you will not encounter most likely. It charges Drill Peck at 5-4-5-4 and it hurts as hard as what a Charizard would deal. Its such a fun pokemon because if you ever align into pokemon that are very weak to it like Poliwrath you can always force 2 shields + a KO which they will try to flip but never will win. Amazing pokemon to run and can highly recommend it to you as there are really not much hard counters to Zapdos, with only hard counters being a Ground + anything that resist flying.

Thunder Shock = 3 Damage / 9 Energy / 2 Turn Charge Beam = 5 Damage / 11 Energy / 3 Turn It's very bad because it's pretty much like Charizard using Air Slash instead of Wing Attack. Charge Beam is 4-4-3 and 5-5-5 for Drill Peck and Thunderbolt and it is 6 turns to reach your first move which is not good. Against a pokemon that charges fast that takes 5 turns like Swampert/Drapion you will get outpaced and burn a shield first before they do meanwhile if you have Thunder shock you will outpace and if you do CMP tie you win against them.

Have been using Shadow Zap in open great as closure and it's amazing Pacing of Thunder shock and Drill Peck is insane

Over the last few seasons I’ve been slowly regretting powering up my Shadow Zapdos for ML. I started when the flier meta was dominant and there was a lot of double flying teams, so with Groudon as one of my only XL’d pokemon that sucked. Unfortunately by the time I got if to a usable level the flying meta died down so now I wish I could use it in GL again.

This has to be the top 20 from this season right? I see virtually no Noctowls or Greninjas this season so seems odd that those two are banned. However I’m almost exclusively seeing Poliwrath and Whiscash so those should’ve been on this list
