@@harryrao4296 Well even in comic sales, Marvel holds the lead in the west, followed by DC and Image and indies. With the mixed bag failure of the DCEU and massive success of the MCU, regardless of recent opinions on it, i'd say Marvel is definitely more popular than DC right now, and tbh it's partially to some degree DC/WB's own fault for various reasons. They need to have more faith in and give more exposure to characters who arent Batman or Harley Quinn. None of the casual audience, the majority of people, are gonna be fans of anyone else if they dont know who they are and they're just inundated with more Batman. No one knew Guardians of the Galaxy 'til that first movie and now people love them, coincidentally was a Gunn film. Hopefully Gunn can do the same with DC, and hopefully the snyder cult dont hinder it. There's this notion people have who arent familiar really with DC that they're outdated and the characters arent interesting. Someone like Gunn has to show them that's not the case. Peacemaker and The Suicide Squad were a good start. It's an uphill battle but I think he can do it. I'm a DC guy so the struggle stings a bit, not gonna lie lol.

@@ToBy11334 it's pretty evident with there not being a mention of the show in the dcu and it being confirmed to take place in the dcu should let you know that it was never there to begin with. You can also simply go to Google and type The batman 2022 Arkham series and it was announced before gunn poked his head up

We all have our doubts because WB and DC constantly make bad decisions. But to me Gunn hasn’t made a bad movie yet. I hope he sticks to what he said before about not blowing the budgets, having a finished script and getting movies out on time. Even if Gunns Superman movie is good. It’s not making a billion or even half of that.

Snyder Cut was because HBO MAX needed something to bring subscribers to the platform. It had nothing to do with people complaining endlessly. They had a semi-complete product, and they thought it would bring people in. It didn't require a full production or advertising budget. That's why it got made.

Gunn decided to bring over stuff that he did in the dceu. He's supposed to be a ceo but apparently he's working on "superman" (which is likely called that now just to get more attention via hashtag). Gunn also keeps contradicting himself with each comment he makes. Have you noticed how gunn keeps making movies similar to gotg like how he's inserting random characters in movies? He's also talked about a multiverse only to cancel shows like superman & lois and seems that The batman isn't safe either. Keep in mind that gunn is in charge not that he's a man who keeps on lying

It's was never an issue for there to be multiple versions of the characters running around and if it wasn't an issues for characters like spiderman then it shouldn't be an issue here plus he's the one who talked about a multiverse and elseworld stories. What even is this? You textbook rambled with inconsequential nitpicks that are easily addressed if you have half a mind on wtf you're complaining about. Just SAY that you want him to fail, nobody's going to attack you. Superman & Lois is canceled because the Arrowverse itself is through, not only that but it's a siphon on DC characters' names and attention. The Batman featuring Robert Patterson is going to continue because 1. It's an actual success and 2. Is of recognizable difference to the planned DCU Batman.

James Gunn is pounding the final nails into WBD's superhero coffin. They needed a scape goat and Lil' Jimmy stepped up to the plate. WBD is over $50 BILLION in debt and partially because of failed superhero movies. Don't be surprised when the sell off the entire DCU IP to someone else, just to keep the lights on. Or, pull the plug on his un-Superman movie like Batgirl, just for the tax write-off. Of all the people WBD chose to lead the studio, he's the worst.

@@rorylumley4727 exactly they zero point announcing stuff like booster gold authority, swamp thing or paradise lost because most might never see the light of day. Superman, a couple of the tv shows might come out maybe supergirl at a push but first 2 movies bomb its over.

Not watching a majority of the movies and having so much to say is wild lol. It's telling about how a majority of the unnecessary hate these dc movies get. To many sheeps that can't watch these movies and form an opinion for themselves. DCU may be good but idk if there's much faith in these movies.

Zack Snyder did not have to leave Justice League due to his daughter’s suicide; his daughter killed herself in March of 2017 while he worked for two more months on the movie. Unequivocally without a doubt he was fired from JL because Warner Brothers was panicking.

That's why i hate man of steel,bvs and the rest of the DCEU making all the characters edging, gritty and broody instead of them going for there traditional personality etc ,i hate zack Snyder so much, I'm very happy with James Gunn DCU

After the disastrous DCEU I have zero faith in a good DC Cinematic Universe. DC needs to focus on standalone films and animation. We don't need cinematic universes anymore.
