Hey Sikky! Great video as always! Love when you talked about changing perspective. And maybe this is not relevant, but one of the best pieces of advice I've ever gotten on getting rid of creative block is, that you NEED to let yourself create some wack shit sometimes. Because if you keep thinking that you need to produce something better than last time, you own pressure will stop your creative flow and takes all the fun out of it. Hope you'll keep going man. Your videos has a lot of value in them, and I really hope you'll be able to focus on the process instead of the goal

you almost said it in your video, but ive come to learn that the meaning of 'perfectionist' (including myself in this) is that you basically just want to hear stuff the way YOU like it. look at the top 10 of any genre you like.... how many of those do you like and that inspires you? thing is, the rest of the songs (that you don't like) have a ton of fans that LOVE them, enough to prob put them in front of the songs you like. our way isn't the only way:)

Sometimes it's good to switch things up, maybe use different synths / instruments or in my case; I got inspired by a video you made where you were using a Chase Blooper pedal & so I went & started researching some guitar pedals & now the gears in my mind are definitely moving again as new ideas start popping up. I feel this man.. everyday I think about quiting making music and just do the normal jobs like other people.. no matter the improvements it just seems to get nowhere🤷🏽‍♂️

I think back to when i was making beats on my phone, and how i thought it was so good of a beat before i even knew about FL. I didn't even kno about arrangement, processing, where to even put the kicks and snares, or sound design. I loed doing it though. I was using Imaschine 2. Man i had a few hounded Projects across multiple phones. Purchasing FL led me to many questions I'll always vherish bc it led me to your channel bro, and many others like yourself Simon included. Loving seeing the ones I look up to collaborate as well it is almost and unexplainable excitement. Thanks for always being an inspiration. 🙏

A couple of years ago, had the exact same thought 'cause of a culmination of everything up until that point. I took a couple of months of seclusion 2 find myself, as in who have become & returned with the level of drive of that teen in his bedroom with a makeshift setup & a Hip-Hop mural poster on the wall; but with a redefined outlook & a new set of skills from the experiences. It can be frustrating yes, but give you so much more for your life. Sorry can it explain better, with my bad english 😅

You know, People usually say they have "made it" when they are making a lot of money..but in reality most of us get this confused..Has the producer who has been making beats for only 1 year and made a million dollars, and we know the beats sound armature, has he made it? Or what about the producer who has been making beats for 10+ years, he's making much less money and his beats sound great in so many genres, has he made it? You see, people get - making a lot of money and fame confused with our creative musical abilities, You have to separate the two. making music is like a flame, its always evolving. Sometimes that flame dies down and can always rise up again if we keep certain perspectives in mind. We all need money and some will have fame too. Both can be good. But always realize that no amount of money or fame can make your flame have the title of "made it" many act like because they made a lot of money, they have the superior flame, But in reality the more we develop in our craft is the more we should realize how much there is to learn and grow.
