I have been watching your videos for some time now but never commented before. Having done these types of renovations myself before I can really feel for you when things get so challenging, especially when you are so exhausted. I appreciate you being so honest and open about your experience. If I didn't live in Australia I would come and lend a hand, but it looks like you have some great people around you, and it's times like those that really show you what friends can be. Please just keep being yourself and one foot in front of the other until it's all just a memory.

Oh, Maya. I so feel for you reaching your burnout! You have been working so hard on your land, and this project is the hardest yet. And yes, in future, you deserve to ask for more help on such a big project. And yet you seem to have finally made it successfully! Whoof. What a big task! Go, Maya, go! ❤️

It's been my experience. When doing DYI projects, at least one moment of tears is required for every great project. The key is never give up. You are doing great.

Hi Maya, You are definitely the most determine, Nature Loving, Strong headed young Lady I have ever seen in my life. You are such an example for the younger people. The reason why the earth always falls in your building is because you don't secure the excavation pit, i.e. you don't use wooden boards or posts. This is also a safety risk for you and the workers. It is also essential that you place a layer of gravel and sand under the water tank as a drainage and leveling layer so that the tank doesn't float up in heavy rain and you can place the tank level. It is important that there are 2 separate layers, sand and gravel, because only sand will be washed out by the rain. Even under the ground. Also check that all pipes are at a frost-proof depth of 80cm.

Next such job please secure the walls of the hole. My father was found buried up to chest in a trench smaller than that. Luckily someone saw him and rescued him. Imagine the result when you work alone in the middle of nowhere.

Sometimes a release of tears and bring in extra hands is whats needed. Look after yourself and a trip back home so your parents can pamper you and have a break.

I've cried over big projects that seem neverending too! So inspired by you, you have grit and perseverence. You've gotten the infrastructure done for the most part, now you can pause, take stock and let your mind and body restore. You need the pauses to imagine what is poosible and beautiful; to work your garden and enjoy the world You go girl!

Maya, I understand how frustrating it can be encountering setbacks, especially when you're on your own, but remember you are free to do all of these things, which is more than most people can do. It distresses me to see you crying, but thank you for honestly showing us the emotions that plague you throughout your build. I've watched you learn so much as you go on, and how much more confident you have become as you walk through the adversity you face. Just remember that adversity is the greatest teacher and continue to walk forward. Good luck with your future projects, and remember how blessed you are.

I am a former work-a-hollic older man, like you, I have a no quit attitude. Even so, I have been faced with adversity many times when I needed to back off and have a good cry. Sometimes a good cry will part the clouds and the sun will shine in my heart again. Of course I do this in private, people think I am as tough as nails but we all reach our limit at times.
