The Darkness of a Broken Family - 1 Samuel 24 - Skip Heitzig

Episode 3 from the series Darkroom with Skip Heitzig. Watch the complete series:
• Darkroom
One of the darkest rooms anyone can enter is dealing with a broken family. To be part of a family that is fragmented and malfunctioning feels bleak and miserable. The by-products of being in such a family are feeling unwanted, unloved, and isolated. But did you know that many people in Scripture came from such families, including David? The good news is that God is in the business of fixing broken things, including broken families. David’s darkroom of family difficulty is what we consider here.

TY Pastor Skip! For so many in "dark places" during these times, you are a beacon of light! I always say that: "faith is like a parachute; if you need it, but don't have it, you may just never be blessed to need it again! ⏳⌛ 🙏 ⚓ 📖

Wife and I got into a pretty big argument this morning. It's no coincidence that this was just uploaded. God works in mysterious ways and I love you Lord. I just want to thank you Skip and all you've blessed.

This is the message that me and my family needed most. To re-cap : 1) Be ready to Forgive -》look for the good traits, humble yourselves and make the first move to reconcile. 2) Respect is better than Revenge -》respect commands respect, when others see the respect you pay to people you dislike, they respect you even more. 3) Light is better than Darkness, rather than behaving sleazily in the dark, confront the other person with good facial expressions and body language in the light. Clear up in the confrontation rather than retaining the conflict in your heart. For conflicts multiply and increase in hatred and anger. And the truth may never be revealed forever. Truth is better than Triumph - 》win your opponent over rather than win over them. LORD GOD , I am totally repentant. Help! 🙏 2/2/2022

Forgot the first advice from Pastor Skip. It is better to have a blemish family than a broken one.

Skip - you need to reread Corrie's story. She was in her 50s when she went into the camps, not really a 'girl'. The whole imprisonment came late in the war, although any time in those camps seemed like many years.
