I saw this tour in houston. One of the best shows I have ever seen or heard. They really know how to put in a show. I can’t believe I missed out all the years ago when they first started out. Making up for lost time now

They took one too many a hiatus, which ruined their popularity just as they were on a roll. I think the hiatus was due to Justin developing cancerous throat cells.

He was in the mitt’s of addiction and his mental state was in a dark place. Took five years out, got himself on the straight and narrow. Beat his illness and came back stronger.👍

I just said the same thing you did about The Darkness and why aren't they playing venues other than bars. They play the same bar here every time. It must be fun for them? Kansas City has dozens of bigger places they could sell out...... who knows? Maybe they don't want to get big here (the USA). Maybe it's the festival circuit they do in Europe is so huge they don't need the money. 🤔

Still kickin myself for missing this show

What an awesome show! I had the honor to see them perform live at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX in 2012. They did not disappoint. I've been a fan of them since Permission to Land came out in 2003. I came across their video while I was getting ready for work, and I put VH1 on the TV at that time. I believe it was around 5:30am when they were showing videos. I glanced at the intro and I was "what the hell is that?". Little did I know when the guitar riff opened and Justin Hawkins emerged from the fog and started to sing, it blew my mind away. It was very refreshing to listen to a rock band that actually played, you know, ACTUAL ROCK AND ROLL!!! Since then, I got hooked with their music. I would love to see them perform live once again. I hope they make it to Dallas once again.

I have always felt that the song “love is only a feeling” was underrated, and the emotion in each of those guitar solos is immense

They been around since early naughties; were on their way to global superstardom but Justin developed cancerous throat cells, so they took a long hiatus which hindered their comeback (unfortunately).

This is incredible!

Hi newbies! I've been following The Darkness since 2004. Saw them live, too. I knew right away they are one of the best bands I've ever heard or seen. The crowd seemed to be very familiar with their music. I have never understood why they don't have the audience here they do in Europe. I live in Kansas City , but they always play a bar when they could easily sell out a bigger venue. I wear my The Darkness t shirts when it's warm just to advertise! Can anyone explain this to me?🤟

What these guys do is theatre. It's very often mistaken for other less interesting artforms but it's the foundations of classic Brit rock. Wow. Not only are their songs rockin and enjoyable , they are good live! Going to one of their shows seems like fun! Missed my chance to see em live in Boston last year, but thank goodness they're coming back again in Oct. Wanna go! Yes these guys are underrated here in America and should be pushing overrated people like Taylor Swift out of the way, but they'll give you a good show in a small more intimate setting. Justin also has a crazy sense of humor he puts into his songs and performances. Great how he's able to cuss in a song and be hilarious and silly....that's major British humor for you.
