"Sleep, along with my daughter" gives me chills every time. Just to be clear, "Nemure" is what was said, which is the Japanese word for sleep. Though, you're cooking and that's good.

You know the episode's good when they drop the credits on you like that. Just GOAT things

The ending of this episode is so haunting... Seeing his head topple brings me right back to the first time I watched it.

Betelgeuse is easily one of my favorite characters he's SO unsettling and makes you realize how much of a problem the witches and especially the cult actually are Proud of u guys for suffering through this episode and welcome to the new cycle of pain, MY BRAIN TREMBLES

This episode is one of the best in the whole series and is a true masterpiece.

The game reset vs checkpoint reset point was hilarious Lol Also Nah, Beetlegeuse wondered if Subaru was the Archbishop Pride, as he himself is the Archbishop Sloth. They grabbed Subaru because of his witch miasma on him being so strong and were curious who he was and why it's so strong on him (Rem and Ram detected the miasma on Subaru a bunch of times prior too)

Peak fiction, its one if the Best episode in anike history the ending the ost the voice actors everything was freaking phenomenal

Charlie has to be one of the funniest reactors out there. Her wild theories, reactions, and facial expressions never fail to make me burst into laughter. Hello, Translation Man back again to cover some mistranslations/poor translations. For starter's this one is written correctly, but it is poorly worded when saying it, but the Witch's Cult is just that, a Cult of The Witch, singular. Next is something that nobody would catch without reading the source text, but the madman's name is actually Petelgeuse (said as Petal guice, rhymes with juice) Lastly, the title he has as Archbishop representing sloth would he better written as Archbishop in charge of sloth. I'm impressed Carlie and Ange caught on to the other details he says in his madness, like how hes kinda gatekeeping insanity. Ill be back next time theres a major issue with the subtitles. Thanks!

22:18 about that I think it is more like "nemure" which is "sleep" (as an order) in japanese. Also I think he uses "musume' which means "daughter" too in japanese, without ever mentioning the name of said daughter.

make sure that, before you move on to season 2, you watch the OVAs. the one about Emilia and Puck will give you some good ideas about what happened in those last two deaths.

Still my favorite episode of Re:Zero. It never stops gripping you. So many questions. Betelguese's VA not needing a warm up to greatness. Best girl's fury and confession. Everyone dying at the end with a freaking "end of movie" credit roll. And finally a post credit Subaru definitely looking like he belongs in the Witch's villain team.

You’ve have now experienced THIS episode. I watched this when it premiered and people talked about this like all year. Absolutely mental episode. Literally trauma lol

15:00 One of, if not THE, favorite look of "Now....my turn, mf!" in all of anime. 18:00 Nah, he was talking to Barasu. It's like saying "Hey, you're Sloth, right?" It woeks as a title/flavour. 19:02 Sorry, but....lolwat? I am alarmed at how "Huh?!?" that guess sounds. I just can't get where that theory came from. 20:15 XTRA WTF?!? Rem's mom?!?!? 22:36 Ram is mere feet to Subaru's right, dead infromt of that shed.the big kitty would have said "daughters" in that....possibility. Ya'll are adorable. I've seen reactions to this episode far more than I couldn't count, and this was the most unique and quirky and concerning theories I'd ever heard.

I cant believe the chair did this..

You probably already know some of these things but for the sake of context: When Betelgeuse talks about Subaru having an intense "love" in him, he's referring to the witches scent (he can also smell it, just like the mabeasts, ram and rem. That's also how Rem managed to find Subaru). He asked if Subaru is pride because each witch has an archbishop and he thought that Subaru was Pride for that reason. Also, as a way to show affection, Puck refers to Emilia as "his daughter".

You should recognise it and you'll know who he's calling "daughter" Betelguese(pronounced Beetle juice) , is an awesome character... You're gonna love him😅

not sure if you guys thought about this but another reason why it’s so hard for subaru is 1- no one wants to kill themselves, no matter how many times you’ve done it it’s gonna hurt and be horrible, 2- he doesn’t KNOW if he’s gonna come back, at any moment it could stop and all be over

Wont say it myself, but it is pretty cool figuring out who that big dog is. The facts that give it away already exist. ( I think? ) I do not remember if it ever gets revisited.

Not yet.” In s1 ep 11 After being knocked unconscious after Roswaal appears to save the day by burning the Witchbeasts, Subaru finds himself in the dark ethereal realm yet again, in which the shadow, now in the shape of a woman, approaches him, And in s1 ep 15 After dying from frozen while holding Rem’s dead body, Subaru finds himself in the dark ethereal realm and meets the shadow woman yet again, feeling intense emotions that he can’t understand towards her, to which she replies by grazing him with her fingertips
