@nyfox1267 we camped / star gazed all evening in the public field. We has plenty of space it really wanted too crowded when we went in the winter. Not sure how packed it gets in warmed months though. Cheers

My friend has a cabin near cherry springs if the sky is clear at night it’s amazing. The longer you look up the more stars you notice farther out in the distance.

Checking for clear skies is impossible when the sites book up months ahead of time. I booked a site in December for August and most of the weekends were full already. Going to have to hope I get lucky.

@@93theproducer47 I'm not familiar with the area, so I don't know what else is around there. Cherry Springs also has a proper setup for telescopes, including power in the field. Plus, you can legally go there and stay overnight. No places near me that dark for several hours drive at least.
