Too many other “dark Disney secrets” videos only talk about the disturbing details of the accidents and never the victims. A sad fact i learned when I covered the America Sings Tragedy is how Deborah called her parents right before her final shift on America Sings. She called them because she wanted to let them know that her and her boyfriend were getting serious. Presumably asking them for their permission to marry him in the near future. Only for it to be her last call ever. I don't quite remember the source I heard or read this from but I put it in my video after learning about it This was also her first week on the job if I recall correctly. A true tragedy that makes my heart sink everytime I hear about it. Only silver lining is that changes were actually made to provide a safer work environment but I wish we didn't have to make changes only after someone dies. It happens far too many times sadly :(

I'm a Disney Adult, and I acknowledge that these tragic events took place, and I feel sympathy for the families and friends affected by these accidents, but acting like they're some *dark side* events is taking it a little bit far. It's just as anything as life. We can't be sure when something could happen, life is unpredictable.

@@jadevr I completely agree with you and I’m sorry if I offended you in any way! I too think saying that it’s a “dark side” of Disney is too far, it’s just sad things that affected people lives and family’s. Personally I feel a “dark side” of Disney isn’t the deaths but the racism and world war 2 things that they made back in the day, buts it’s a new age and Disney has moved on from that. When I made the original comment I wasn’t actually trying to target anyone who may be a Disney adult, I was just trying to make a reference to those people who take there kids to Disney so often that the kids aren’t even exited to go there type of people (and yes, that is a actual example I found on TikTok:( )

  • @jadevr

@@gwens_drawings No offense taken, hun. It just makes upset that these creators *use* events to gain views, by labeling them as some dark secrets, when it's not. It's life. Things that happened in the past with Disney are just that. The past. I see way too many content creators and commenters trying to use these past events to slander the current state of the Disney company. It's rather infuriating. I'm sure if we all took anything that these people did in their pasts, and applied it to how they should be seen and treated currently, they'd be more than a bit upset. The Disney Adults that force their kids to go, just because they themselves don't want to grow up, well... that's just disgusting. I have a daughter, adult now, and while she too loves Disney, I never forced her to go, if she didn't want to go. As much as I love it, I haven't been to a Disney park since... 2003 I think.

I feel sad for deceased loved ones being swept up and thrown in the trash instead of being buried or stored in a mausoleum. Like if their wish was to be dispersed at Disney, why not settle for outside the park in the plants or lakes there where workers wouldn’t bother them? I’d have closure knowing that they’re somewhere in nature than in a disposable bag in a landfill.

And I can't not see that poor woman being horribly mangled in the Attraction... Blood... Organs... completely... Broken... It's... Horrible to think about... My heart goes out to her Family and Friends for such a horrible loss...

31:47 Same thing happened to me. Went on TOT for the first time, had my bag by my feet, and when the drop came, my bag started to float up, but managed to catch it with my legs (it didn't float too high). That scared me more than the ride ever did.

As a kid who LOVED stitch, when I got to go to disney I made sure to drag my mom and brother on the ride. I remember my mother mentioning alien escape! Something like it scared people too much or someone had died riding it. I personally LOVED the ride, but I am very biased. Stll got scared during it. The seats have bars that come down and press hard onto your shoulders in a quick bounce. My mom unfortunately had sunburn on her shoulders so I heard her cringe everytime Stitch made a race around the top of seats.

This was a pretty great video. You should also cover incidents that happened in the international Disney parks especially Disneyland Paris 💀 (workers getting electrocuted to death). It's also quite interesting that as far as incidents and fucked up stuff are concerned, Tokyo Disney has the cleanest record out of all the parks; the only notable incidents being an inconsequential derailment of Space Mountain and a guest breaking a leg after trying to get off the Raging Spirits roller coaster as the ride was starting(the only ride-related injury to happen in the resort interestingly enough). Keep in mind Tokyo is the 3rd oldest Disney park and has been around for over 40 years.

I actually did a final project based on the Disney Deaths. It was very interesting to read about different deaths I did not know about. But the one that always got me interested in these types of topics was Debra Stone. I heard of her death when I was around 11-12 years old, and I've always been interested in those types of things. Which was why I wanted to choose the topic. I took the time to make sure each death I researched had all or most of the facts correct and took the time to make sure I respected each person who had passed. I appreciate how you also respected each of the deaths and made sure all of the facts were correct. We need more people like you covering these sensitive topics. May all of the deceased souls rest in peace

5:59 The last time I went to Disneyland was in the mid nineties. It was the third time in history that the park reached capacity and was closed at the front gate. Forty five minute wait to use the restroom. They put a rope dividing main street to manage the flow of people. I was smoking weed walking down main stree it was so crowded security didn't have a clue. I used to do LSD there. Good times back in the day. I'll never go back!
