What I particularly loved about this game is the multi-branching choices you had. I played it for four times, discovering new scenes, chapters, and deaths every time, and I know for sure that there was yet much more to see. This game is definitely at the top of the list of games with meaningful choices.

Interesting about the "Fortune" at the beginning. Fish in China generally symbolize wealth and abundance in life.

I like how you always start with the catchy music intro, it makes everything else less scary

rewatching this playthrough it is WILD how many easter eggs for the other DPA games they fit in to the plot; love a good foreshadowing 😁

Graphics and soundtrack. Like watching a movie!

Definitely, except a real movie would then look really weird if symbols randomly appeared throughout it whenever the characters had to conduct a major action. Lol.

I feel like these games are great for non gamers as an interactive movie, and very great for an immersive not very skill demanding experience as from an active gamer. They're def fun if you dont mind the premise

The scariest party of this is when a loud AF ad starts playing in the middle of a quiet scene. Ffs bout ready to have a panic attack 😩😭

2:16:20 I love the way they're all terrified but Brad is just like "give me a fucking break 🙄" as if his McDonald's order got messed up 😭

Not me. Felt he had it coming. Though maybe not on the ghost ship. And also, THE FRICK! The ship is haunted! The ghosts can only scare you to death. Not actually kill you! Jeez, this was good!

The details for this game are amazing. Look at how the fires from the candelabra move.

Like your walkthroughs, you don't drag it on, spontaneous reactions make it more intense taking forever to think about the pros and cons

First impressions: Jesus Tapdancing Christ that is some serious swagger in the credits. Walking with some serious style.

Reminds me a lot of until dawn. In that there is more story than actual gameplay.

The curator is the best part of these already amazing games/story

These stories show something quite amazing. Your choices are not the big ones, but the small ones that happen here or there. The game shows how it is all the small details that can make, or break an entire life, and and entire story.

This is so good, the graphic of the game is so good so crystal clear. smash the LIKE 💪👍

For all their interesting quirks this series feels as though the team didn't put the effort in like they did for Until Dawn.

Love you choices, the fact that you keep the subtitles on AND that you are thorough with the lore. BUT the major loss of FPS trigged my motion sickness REALLY HARD. It was impossible to watch any scene after they get on the Medan, and I got sick and had to laid down for a feel hours. After that I had to search another video of the game, from another youtuber (with different choices), from the start, because of that. It was frustating. But other then that, great work! Hope you can make more material that I can watch.

Damn those have to be the nicest pirates of all time. Also god games need to stop having people drop down from distances that would either seriously injure or kill them.

You know, maybe a better place to pop the question is on dry land, at a safe and non haunted location

it's an anthology games.. Little Hope is the second one.. and it said would be 8 series of them (and could be more).. the studio is now making the third one..

I love all the games by these devs. Just played through this, now onto the other 3 DPA games. Played Until Dawn years ago and The Quarry last year, is there any other games by these devs that I should look out for? I heard about Hidden Agenda but is that the same sort of thing?

I hear you mate. It just never stops.

I wonder at this point after having got in a huge argument that lasted for a week; if its just an accepted mistruth that sound travels at 1 mile per second. The speed of sound (sea level) = 1,126.18 feet per second......not 5,280. 8 seconds would would put that lightning strike roughly 1.7 miles away.

Would you please finish the other episodes for Song Of Horror.

Yeah I was gonna comment something about this. He definitely appeared several times throughout. Although I like the creepiness of it, I would like to know the reasoning behind it

That's weird it says starring Shawn Ashmore (Conrad) he's like the only recognizable actor but he's gone like the whole game, maybe the couldn't afford to motion capture him too long. I wonder if that was just cause you chose for him to escape, if you can have him not steal their boat and stay with the group and actually be in the main part of the game? If so then I think you got the bad ending.

SPOILER WARNING When the brother arrives at the end, he is on a Coast Guard boat! And someone must have been driving it because for some reason he was clinging to machine gun on the stern when they pulled up. BS the coast guard would let this guy go into the ship by himself, let alone even come on the rescue mission. Other then that stupid tack-on ending this seemed like a great game.

The faces and expressions look SO WEIRD i am thrown off

@@Gadget-Walkmen more the placement and editing of the voiceacting. some people are praising this game but holy shit I found this terrible. literally in the prologue It was very obvious it was the gas that made the people on the ship see things. and all the scares were sooo cheap and loud. some scenes would have been even scarier if they didnt use the jumpscare up the volume tactic. the youtuber did it very well though.

Yeah, textures are great but animation is so freakin wonky.

Until dawn was better in terms of graphics the colors were dark but they still popped more

I hope SHN, if given the choice, sacrifices her to the monster to save everyone 🤣” Same with Conrad and his “foolhardy” demeanor. They both gotta go imo 😩

If the acting wasn't so bad, when they get into the big boat and the last dude goes on it kinda reminds me of silent hill. From the atmosphere to the not knowing what creatures or person is going to be around the next corner.

Guessed the gas thing halfway into the game. A group of dump asses who missed all their chances to run away, search for weapons, or fight back. But oh, well, still fun to know that all of them still alive at the end of the game

Little Hope was so much better! I loved the story and the plot twist about little hope, this time there was not that great of a background story. But still great graphics and I love the idea of this game.

Until Dawn is good but Man of Medan is good too!

A 2/5 game for me. The graphics in some places really do shine and look amazing, the animation isn't really there and some mannerism/facial movement goes into uncanny valley. The story and progression is extremely cliche and there are plenty of questionable decisions that the characters make.

Bad dialogue, terrible voice acting, weird facial expressions, dumb characters... I enjoyed watching this a lot lol

it's the Ship's name.. SS Orang Medan (Indonesian Language).. means Man of Medan.. (Orang = People/man.. Medan = a city in Sumatra Island of Indonesia) .. it based on true story of the ghost ship itself..
