I love this story, it’s like a direct parallel to Shen and Zed’s youth where Zed constantly gained the attention of Kusho and Shen’s talent went unrecognized. It’s cool (but sad) how Akali fared the same way.

This is even worse tbh. Kusho treated Zed better because he was the better student. Still, he mentored both. Mayym only mentors Faey. She doesn't even consider Akali because she believes that succession shouldn't be based on kinship.

@@faceless8424 I wouldn't say it is worse though. faey is mayyms disciple already so it would make sense why she gives faey so much attention. not only that but it appears kennen, is treating akali as if she was his own disciple. While this would never replace the need of akalis mother actually acting as a proper parent. I don't seem to remember kusho ever really showing affection towards shen and zed. it looks like the majority of the kinko, take being teachers over being parents.

@@bjh3612 Yeah but Kusho payed attention to both. In the comic he calls Shen his son and Shen himself has small interactions with his father. Mayym and Akali have litteraly no interaction. Faey says that Mayym treats Akali like thin air. I personally think this makes Mayym a more interesting character. When Mayym talks about succession through kinship, she states it as a fact, as something she deeply believes in, which imo, is the reason Akali is treated like this. I also think it will be Shen who mentors Akali, not Mayym.

I think Akali has ADHD. This story hints that alot. She can't focus, she easily gets distracted and laughs in dangerous situations. ADHD is pretty common in that age. Not to mention that it can be caused by PTSD which Akali likely has thanks to Zed.

Faey : The Blossomed Blade - Maybe she found a way to the spirit world and made a pack with a spirit and had her body modified by it. She is an archer who uses the powers of a spirit to summon blade-like arrows. Or maybe she can even change from a melee champion who uses many blades to a range champion who uses blossom powered magic in her archery. IDK but Faey is a pretty interesting character and I would like to see her in the rift soon

I didn't read this lore yet and didn't know anything about this story yet. I feel for Faey so much and this story actually made me bawl my eyes out. As someone that's been through am accident and became an amputee myself hearing this was really hard. I hope she becomes a champion and if so she's probably one id try to learn.

Honestly, they did say at one point that VGUs and new champions usually take 9-12 months. Even if he's in a kinda play-ready state, they are doing a bunch of playtesting first to see if he's stable.

The Jhin case is happening in the current timeline where Akali is 19. This story takes place 10 years ago, a few months after Zed took the Kinkou and Shen and Akali lost their fathers.

Im a huge noxian fanboy but listening to this story genuinely broke my heart and actually made me tear up. The amount of detail and life this story is given, really shows how dedicated Riot is to making a true, living world. This shows how truly brutal and unforgiving the war of Ionia and Noxus was and has become. I can't wait to see even more!!

A fanconcept if she does become a champion with the idea of hextech being able to be used to make her walk again (P)Hextech prosthetics -Due to having hextech prosthetics she would gain increased 10/15/20% decaying movement speed when damaging an enemy champion which can be refreshed but will be put off cooldown if not refreshes within 5s. (15s cooldown) (Q)Tradition and Advancement -Switch between 2 arrows Hextech arrow-Every 3rd attack deal 10/20/30/50/60 + (20% ad) + (15% AP) extra magic damage. Traditional arrow-Every 3rd hit on the same target restores 2/5/7/10/15 mana from them. (30/35/40/50/60) mana/ 25s CD (W)Hextech Breathing Active-Plant yourself on the ground and increase the damage of all abilities and basic attacks by 30/45/50/55/6 Passive-All the movement speed you'd normally get from damaging an enemy champion from Hextech prosthetics will instead be stored capping at 60% increase out of combat movement speed which will be obtained when the ability ends. 50 mana/ 14.6/12.3/10/8.6/7 cd (E)Blossomed Volley/Silencing Arrow -Shoot out 5 targetted skillshot arrows that will pass through minions but will stop by the first enemy champion hit dealing 50/70/85/90/100+(50% ad) (50% AP). If shes currently using a traditional arrow every time faey would damage that enemy champion hit she'll heal for 12+(10% AP) and it deals it in physical damage. (R)Ionian Convergence/Technological blossom -If you're using a traditional arrows faey cast Ionian Convergence which would create an aura that will heal allies for 10% of the damage she deals and gain 40/50/70% increased attack speed. -if youre using a hextech arrow faey would cast technological bloom which will make her overload a hextech arrow with ionian magic which is a long range skill shot dealing 150/250/350 + (100%AP)(75% AD) magic damage towards the first enemy champion hit. which will implode out in a cone dealing 80% of that damage to all enemies behind that enemy

Later this year, Necrit's prediction will become reality and we will get Faey as a champion.
