The scariest part of this scene is how willing the League of Shadows is to sacrifice themselves for the cause. The member smiles when told to stay in the plane. Doesn't argue, isn't scared to die. So long as he knows he lit a fire.

yeah all 3 of the head villains in this trilogy were top notch all around and the actors who did them gave A+ performances. Where as in the original 4-movie series the only one who was on that level imo was Jack Nicholson as the Joker, the rest who followed in the sequels were a little hard to take seriously.

I love that at 2:22 one of the operatives tries to land his feet on the plan but slips and crashes in, quickly reorienting himself for the objective. It's a bit of realism as not every action you take, even by a professional is perfect 100% of the time. And you can see that in how the other operative did land his feet right. So they're able to do it, just not always perfectly.

i always come back to this scene. i love the line interpretation hardy gives of “for you.” the line was written as the second part to the line “it would be extremely painful”, but hardy instead reads it as a response to “you’re a big guy”. makes the exchange so much less cliché by delivering it that way

Finding wings and engines is really possible thing to do, need to get black box from airplane, count the altitude, speed, possible breakdown spot, air thickness, get the wind data and so on. After these and many other things you can make a big circle that you start to search for with volunteers and professionals. Ofcourse it takes really long long time to find small parts, but eventually somebody will find them.

Nolan & the screenwriters have said the premise was that Bane had to take deep breaths to speak because of his mask. In the context of the movie he was saying “It would be extremely painful..*breathes*..for you” But cinematically in can be interpreted both ways.

Such loyalty, skills and professionalism. Every leader would want men like these working for him. Also thats a really daring plan as far as daring plans go. They had to outdo jokers crazy plans from the previous movie and this did it. Excellent work.

The most impressive thing about this scene is that Aidan Gillen managed to maintain only a single accent throughout his entire performance.

Well, until recently I thought the same, but then Logan happened, and my little heart was savagely torn between the last and the most glorious (and most tearful) of Wolverine's adventures (seriously, I cried like 3 times on this movie!), and the pure magnificence of the Dark Knight trilogy. To this day I can't decide which film I liked more - Dark Knight or Logan. ^^

Be honest, that's not saying much is it? This is a substandard film and everyone knows it. Compared to Marvel's drivel, it seems pretty good. But stop and judge these Batman movies on their own merit, and they're nothing special.

Practical effects beat CGI anyday. That's why Nolan will always be the best director of Batman

Which means they could have brought any random dead guy(s) and leave him on the plane and the authorities would have guessed he was the captive. I'm sorry, but nothing is gonna convince me otherwise; that sacrifice was not necessary.

Nolan is so eager to use practical effects he is willing to throw some stunt-doubles out of a plane

10 years time really flies

Even when compared to ledgers introduction this is still amazingly well done

“Nows not the time for fear….that comes later!” Somehow, that line still gives me a laugh every time.

The moral of the story is if you see Bane while boarding an airplane, just get off the plane while you still can. If you see him while the plane is in flight, well, you're royally f-cked.

Begins and TDK were good (masterpieces would be a stretch) rises was a absolute shit show and not nearly as good as the other two.

What I always love is the contrast between bane and joker. Think about it. One obscures his face by choice, one has to. One is given no backstory (other than the bogus ones about his scars), while a lot of attention is given to the other. One has a pretty clear plan while The other is more keen on creating chaos. One has jokes and a few other tricks up his sleeve while the other is very straight and serious. I always appreciated that. They’re near polar opposite villains.
