I can see that at least some of this was carried over to Top Gun Maverick. Especially the scene where Maverick and Rooster are stealing the enemies F-14. Its all good though. They managed to make the best sequel to a movie since Terminator 2

my favorite part is the theme at the end of the dark knight...
