This message impacted the way I view my dreams by allowing me to forgive myself for the mistakes I've made throughout my life (whether I stepped out in foolishness/flesh instead of faith or whether I didn't step out at all due to fear). I'm GREAT at reminding OTHERS that ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD & ARE CALLED ACCORDING TO HIS PURPOSE - yet I have STRUGGLED MY ENTIRE LIFE with TRULY BELIEVING those Scriptures applied to ME and the MYRIAD MISTAKES I've made - until I heard THIS SERMON!!! Hi...I am writing from India...since I was aged 12 i have been having this dream of being a space scientist...though the dream has evolved itself throughout the years...the passion is still fresh...but even after giving my best and trying hard to reach the same...I failed miserably...it has been a very agonising and depressing season for me right now...but maybe ..I am in the dark room right now...things just don't make sense to me anymore...I m confused...but maybe I should just put it in his hands and wait...and learn from my mistakes and try again...though the fear of uncertainty is still looming over me and I am afraid to trust him again...

OMG, ALL THE GLORY TO YOU MY FATHER!!

I’m a 3rd year med student living in South Africa. I had always dreamt of getting into med school but today, before watching this video, I felt stuck and unmotivated. I didn’t recognize this version of my dream. This sermon was my confirmation. It’s not about the position, it’s about the purpose. To serve others. Question, I’ve been thinking about going into Pre- Med. I started college but quit because I randomly decided I wanted a business. Now I am thinking otherwise... maybe being a doctor is for me? And then I see this comment which relates to what’s been on my mind, so, how did you know? I think this could be a confirmation but I am not sure.

I can’t even explain how much of an on time word this was for me. Crying in my car on my way home from work listening to this message because I know God was speaking directly to me. Been praying about this same exact thing for a good while not knowing what to do. Confused and torn.Thinking God was silent and thinking I had to figure this out on my own. Thank you for your obedience Pastor Steven. You just don’t know the impact this one message had on me. I can see so much clearer now. We serve the True and Living God.

I had spent 20 years of my life chasing after and serving my own dream. That journey led me to addiction and ultimately to losing my marriage and beautiful son. I see now that I was chasing after status that whole time, instead of pursuing service. Thank you pastor for that word from God. It's helping me make sense of my life.

This sermon made me feel like it’s not too late ❤️

I wear my coat everyday. I am a recovering alcoholic who found hope in the teachings and acceptance at Elevation Church. In the 2 years I've been attending Elevation Ballantyne, this message was the strongest I have ever heard God speak to me. I just started the process of creating my dream this week. In following God's lead, "Anchor of Hope" will be a faith based sober living home(s) for those starting their journey in recovery and relationship with Christ. I grew up wanting to be a pastor, but I let alcohol become my master for over a decade. God's grace saved my life and as I have trusted in Him, he will use my greatest shame for His glory. He left the 99 to save me.

I really appreciate The Pastor’s Communication style. He uses humour to engage our thinking. When he emphasized how everyone’s Dreams are different because we are all different, it made me realize that God uses each and everyone of us for his purpose by placing a specific Dream in our hearts, different from everyone else’s.

I had the opportunity to see you Pastor Furtick preach this message yesterday and it was very powerful. I had to come and watch it again. A true Blessing!

This has lifted my discouragement so much, thank you!!! I’m in the dark right now but my faith is developing. So I guess I am exactly where I’m supposed to be.

I think I’ve been following my dreams much more than God. I really needed this sermon.

Sometimes I think Joseph was given so much love from his mom and dad that at his young age he didn't realize that he was being hurtful. I think he really loved his brothers. It took going through a life Where he didn't feel much love to be able to understand and forgive his brothers in the end. Of course, that only comes through the grace God gives .

Watching this in 2023 and this may be one of my favorite sermons to date.

This message had me crying like baby because it was who I was in past , now I found Christ I my dream is clear as crystal. Thank you pastor for this message. God bless you and your church.

I have learnt so much from this sermon because I never understood the message in this way. Pastor Steven Furtick taught us about Danger of a Dream. Dreams makes you different and that part was interesting because people accept what is the same and reject what is different. But they eventually respect what is different. Don’t be afraid to wear your coat. I’m so thankful for this incredible sermon.🙏🙏

Thank you for this sermon. So many times our dreams come to reality in a different version. Today you solidified what I am looking at in my life today. My dream was to provide shelter for homeless children although I always shy away of taking care of little children. Well God answered my prayers but in a different way. After the age of 55 I am working PT as a Counselor for the YMCA. Instead I love and care for 24 first graders everyday of the week. You see how similar yet differently God has answered my prayers. I love it! I love being around the little people. Won’t He do it! Ultimately it is His will and not mine. I respect what is different! God bless you!

Praise the Lord for He is good! The story of Joseph related to my unsecured and scary time of my life, being alone in a foreign country without my parents, when I was 13th years’ old. I became a Christ, in a detention center in on of a Vietnamese boat people in Honkg Kong camp. This sermon mon today I learned a total new lesson about dreams.

Wow earlier today I literally wrote down that I want a “God-given dream” and then I get a notification for this sermon 🙌🏾 Lord you are speaking !

I needed this sermon 3 years ago. I had a dream bigger than myself and God wasn't in the equation. Now that I'm older and more mature, I give my dreams to God. One of them is to get married and have children of my own. I'm in a complicated relationship with an Army soldier. He is a Christian and that makes the relationship a whole lot easier. It's just the distance and not being able to have constant contact. I've been praying for him that God would keep a veil of protection over him while he's protecting our country.

This sermon reminded me my mom packed my bag and had it by the door when I threatened to run away. Lol I had alot of dreams didn't realize it was God in charge. I do now. Amen Christians are different. Lord Jesus is lovento his children and we are different by loving even our enemies.

Man this message was for ME!

This has blessed me. Trusting God that his dreams shall take charge

Why I love your sermons is that you preach so much of reality when I comes to the word of God. It's not always a feel good sermon but a sermon that says something like a dream might come in a different dimension in a different way. Which is so realistic.

I have goose bumps!! This is definitely one of the sermons that spoke MOST to me! SO THANKFUL for God and His love !!

I played this over about 6 times. I’m a new subscriber! Thank you I needed this so much❤️

As I sit here with my 2.5yr old, 16mo old, and being 4mo pregnant with twins. I realized this is the dream..it was always the dream. To be a mom, to be able to stay at home with my children, to be a wife. And deep in the trenches it doesnt look anything like what in my mind it was supposed to look like THIS is the dream! Thank you Jesus for giving me this dream for as long as i can remember and thank you for bringing me to my dream. While in the middle of the mess, the tantrums, the exhaustion I have failed to see that this is truly my dream. Please forgive me Lord for not seeing rightly.

Thank you for sharing this message.. It's not about fitting in and being like everyone else . It's about standing out and being who God created each of us to be. Wear your coat Hallelujah... Yes .. God didn't make you to be like the ordinary everyday people who do it like the world does it. God made you different because you are his child not of this world . You are a unique gem one of a kind. Shine bright for Jesus be the unique special work of art the masterpiece God created you to be . Jesus didn't fit in and his difference brung conflict because many didnt like the light in him exposing the sin in them.. Likewise we are different and because of that some may reject us and even not like us ,but God approves .. Jesus is truth and truth exposed the motives of the people which caused strife ,conflict,some even got angry to yue point of putting him on the cross. Jesus did not come to bring peace but a sword. There is a reason why he said a son will be against his father ,a daughter in law against mother in law etc ,and your enemies will be those of your own household/family ,friends,neighbors etc.. The reason is cause some choose to walk with Jesus and others choose to follow the world and its patterns which brings conflict, strife etc.. We are called to walk with Jesus, be different and speak truth even if it means being rejected, even if it means being slandered not liked by some etc.. All that matters is what God thinks and approves of.

I know I’m my heart that these sermons I have watched of yours are God sent for me! I let God show me which one to watch and oh how he speaks to me through your sermons

I’m very unsure about what God dreams are for me and my dreams I don’t even think about them anymore. I’m simply living each day by faith knowing if I stick close to Jesus He will lead me right to them.

Take it all to God. God take control of my life and let your will be done ..AMEN

WOWWW!!! What A Sermon!! Praise be to God. Thank you Holy Spirit. Everyone Needs to hear this. Please share this sermon. Pastor Steven initially dreamt of being a singer, but God said i have a bigger plan for you. God used the same instrument that the pastor wanted to use to sing for the greater purpose of preaching and pastoring the sheep. If he had pursued his first dream, he could probably have succeeded, but he would have missed God's purpose for his life. BECAUSE SUCCESS IN WHAT YOU ARE DOING, DOESN'T INDICATE THAT YOU ARE FULFILLING GOD'S PURPOSE FOR YOU LIFE. Heavenly Father, may you continue to use your vessel, pastor Steven, to achieve your purposes, in Jesus name . Amen.
