I'd much rather play the Oilers than the Avalanche ( I guess their team name makes sense being so TOP HEAVY and falling down a lot) or the GoodKnights. I don't mean to come across as TOO arrogant, but just a little arrogant...The Stars should have this after losing home ice and getting it in gear!

We should win in 5, therefore I'm calling it in 6. We always manage to have an off game somewhere and under perform for expectations. This is however, our year. So glad at least one Dallas sport can say that and mean it

I'm a Dallas Stars fan since Modano era and I'm from Montreal Canada so no, not every Canadians are for the Edmonton Oilers lol.

Well folks…Special teams often decide playoff series, and here again, the Oilers have a clear advantage. Edmonton's power play has been the on of the best in the league, operating at an exceptional efficiency. The combination of McDavid, Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Zach Hyman and Evan Bouchard on the power play has been lethal. The Oilers Team TALENTS and their ability to capitalize on man-advantage situations will be a significant factor. Additionally, the Oilers' penalty kill has been solid, effectively neutralizing opposing power plays and turning potential liabilities into strengths. The Stars, while competent, do not match the Oilers' special teams prowess, giving Edmonton an edge in crucial special teams battles. OILERS in 6 👍💪🏆

McDavid wasnt shut out in last 3 games....He had 3 assts in Gm 6....but he was fighting the flu bug the last 3 games in series, along with Drai, Hy,man n Ekholm. .

Basically all the same points we're dwelling on up here in Edmonton. The goaltending, the depth, The Oilers' special teams, etc. IF the Oilers can win this, they will have to dig deeper than they have so far. Looking forward to facing the Stars.

I see you're argument, but I would like to rebut the idea. The Dallas Stars are more good than McDavid and friends, so Stars are going up. I rest my case.

Edmonton defense is under rated. When you can keep opposing teams to five shots a period, You’re doing something right. If Edmonton gets 0.91 goaltending they can win this series.

You got a thing coming just watch and see. Keep sleeping on the Oil. Best team in the NHL since November onwards. Leading the playoffs in grade A chances for and lowest grade A chances against. Stars will feel exactly what Canada has to offer rogers place will be hell for all of you

Joey, you slept on Dadonov! I remember a couple of “meh” comments before the playoffs lol. He’s a beast when healthy, fast and has that dog in him.

Attrition plays a huge roll in the playoffs. An effective neutral zone trap game will force Oil to dump&chase and we need max effort protecting/helping out the D with that. Oil will be sending Kane, Holloway, Perry, Carrick and who ever else to do max damage.

I get hate for this but all in all 200 ft game mackinnon is better then mcdavid and makar is better then Bouchard the difference is draisaitl and rantanen

I feel like the Vegas Golden Knights were the toughest matchup for the Stars ⭐️ and that they can match the speed of the Edmonton Oilers. Chris Tanev who was acquired from the Calgary flames has strengthened our blue line which was our weakest point last year. I think this is going to be a series about defense bend but don’t break. Defense wins championships. Let’s Go Stars ⭐️!! Oettinger has to bring his A game the whole series.

Stars in 5! They just have to stay out of the box which they do well and they will dominate! Oilers can’t keep up in the 5 on 5 battle and their is more depth for the Stars and Otter is the better goalie by a long shot

I love how when you talk about Edmonton you dont even mention the goal leader in the playoffs. Hyman will be a difference maker.

If the stars think that the oilers are only mcdavid and draisaitl and over look the rest of the team Dallas will lose in 5 I don’t think Dallas is ready to handle the heavy hockey Edmonton brings the defence are going to get roughed up before we start to attack with speed and they just haven’t had anything close to Edmonton yet

Well, I know playoffs aren't the regular season, but during the season they met 3 times. Edmonton won once in overtime. Dallas won the last meeting 5-0 and the first meeting 4-3 with their backup goalie in the net. We shall see who isn't ready for whom.

Compared to Dallas, the Oilers are essentially Mcdavid and friends, and sometimes ther rest of the team shows up.

it’s either gonna be a 4 game sweep for DAL or they take it in 5. EDM should be sweating bullets right now.

Oil fan here. Hate to burst your bubble, but Edmonton will vastly outplay the Stars on every level. The only reason why the Stars may win this series is because of our Goaltending. We were well positioned to sweep Vancouver. But thanks to Skinner we had to go the distance to Game 7. Skinner was massively outplayed by a 3rd strjng goalie and was pulled again during this playoff run. It's certainly not comforting for any fan (or Oiler team mate) to hear Skinner say to the media he has to get his head on straight...in the middle of the fricken playoffs.lol Skinner is a bonafide head case. He just did a better job hiding it than Campbell did. I am 99.9% sure Skinner will be pulled at least once in the WCF series. If Skinner walks away from any games in this series with 40 saves in a game and a .920 SV% I'll be shocked. That just ain't going to happen. That's why the Oilers will be a fortress around Skinner. They know he crumbles at the first sign of pressure. I obviously want the Oil to win the Cup, but all Dallas has to do is throw junk on the net and 9 times out 10 Skinner will be over committed into never never land and the puck goes in the net easy-peezy. I hope I'm wrong about our own goalie, but stats and facts don't lie. Go Oilers!

Oilers fan here. I know everyone counts us out. Which could be a good thing. We haven't had 1 upset this playoffs. Hopefully this is the one. We actually wanted to play Vegas and Colorado just to slay old dragons. That being said it would be even that much better if we can beat the team that beat them.

As an Avs fan I think this Stars defense is just too good to let McDavid and Draisaitl go wild 5v5, I mean giving up 1 5v5 goal in 13 games vs the Knights and Avs top lines is insane. Stay out of the box and I think Dallas brushes them aside as easily as we did in 2022. I just honestly don't see how anyone can score on this team consistently enough to win 4 games

If the Oilers just played Mcdavid, Draisaitl and Hyman together they'd have no issues producing they're far better than any line the Stars have faced yet. Only issue with that is the Oilers can't produce outside of their top 5 man unit. Also this Oilers team isn't the 2022 Oilers team. If it wasn't for goaltending and 1 bad D pair the Oilers would have swept the Kings and Canucks.

@@CC-of5xl oilers played drai and mcdavid 2 games together when drai had a hurt back. and pp, other than that they run their own lines. also there was a lot of other guys scoring for the oilers. Drai and Mcdavid are top 4 playoff ppg all time. we have 5 guys that have more points than the stars top guy and its not close either 13 points for your guy and 21 for us our dman bouch has more points and 3 of those are game winners at 5v5

Stats don’t tell the full tale. Dallas played 2 championship contenders out the gate and we all know LA and Vancouver were definitely the easier road especially when the Canucks don’t have their top goalie. Dallas was bred for this moment
