The Dagestan Chronicles ft. Khabib Nurmagomedov - "Sildi" (Final Episode)

Спорт

The Dagestan Chronicles presented by Will Harris Productions
As you all know, back at UFC 223, UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov invited me to Dagestan, Russia.
Me being the trooper I am, took him up on his offer and came abroad to witness and learn more about the people of Dagestan.
I am thankful to Khabib, his family and his management team for inviting me over to Dagestan to experience something no one has done before from the US. I learned so much about the Dagestan Culture, the Muslim Faith and the humility in which the champ has. There are too many people to thank for this moment and I will later in the future. I hope my journey is appreciated and stands tall in time next to the great productions I will produce in the future. These moments will be with me forever.
Directed by Will Harris Productions

This statement of Muhammad Ali in this video is wrong, Will. Ali said it when he was in sect called "Nation of Islam". Then he left this sect and changed his views. Islam teaches that the only religion that is accepted by God is Islam, it is said in Quran Surah 3 Ayah 19. And there is Ayah in Quran that Jesus, Moses and other Prophets were muslims. But then people distorted their teaching and said that Jesus is God etc. They (Prophets) didn't teach this. All Prophets of God were teaching 1 religion called "submission to one God", in arabic this religion is called Islam. God didn't send different Prophets with different religions, it's absurd.

It's usually the case with any area away from cities All our ways of socialism, thinking, beliefs and physical activities are completely different. The closer you are to cities, the more Westernise the lifestyle is. No matter what country you come from. The mentality is "All for one one for all" as apose to, "One for all, all for one" When you go home. Everyone is the same :). You respect and learn from your elders. @MrAkaalis To interprete Qur'an you should know the context and pre-text, not just the text itself. Even you should understand arabic to the highest extend, because every word sometimes had multiple meanings. Thats why we have a scholars, great scholars whom interprete and informed us in very cautios manners. There are a different statement about women slavery from our great scholars, but 99% said its no longer necessary and forbidden. Laws in Qur'an contain a variety of allowance. 1. It allow only in Prophet time 2. It allow in one verse, then dissalowed in another verse (which is later in revelation) 3. It is conditionary or emergency. 4. It is Absoulte for every time and every condition. You have to know the Pre-text, context, and understand arabic language, then you know what the text refer to There is an Islamic phrase.. "Do not learn Quran by yourself, learn it with a teacher, it is essential."

Yes brother, you are indeed correct, when you finish praying all your prayers at the mosque, you'll slowly get up and walk out of the building without making any noises to distract others praying since everyone pray differently. Once we get out of the building, we'll walk and shake and greet random strangers and then go out and do your thing. Islam is our deen and we believe in Allah SWT and Muhammad SAW is our messenger may peace be upon him.

I speak 8 languages and can speak russian fluently but my writing in kyrillic is terrible. Does that make me that i’m not from dagestan? You have to understand that there are people living a whole life time and can’t even write a single letter nor read. You should not judge other people if you dont have anything positive to say or you will carry around with a bad aura just like now. I have multiple family members that struggle to write and can barely read because they was in war and there was no school to study anything. Does that make them that they are not from the same place as me?

Pretty cool! Reminds me of Muhammed Ali as well and how both legends have the name "Muhammed" after our Prophet Pbuh. May Allah SWT bless them both and bring peace to every single human being and the ummah. Ameen. :) Allah knows best.

Much respect to the Nurmagomedov's. I have a whole new respect for Khabib after this doc. Never was a fan, now I am more than just a fan. Nothing but respect.

For all those asking about their Women folk. They are off camera. As a general way of life women don't hang around men, and men don't hang around women. This is to do with religion, this help a person control their desires of the opposite genders and protects them from having 'unofficial' relationships. So it tends to be as practising Muslims you have this 'segregation' between men and women. Please do not miss understand 'segregation' as it has negative connotation due to the oppression of black people in America. This 'segregation' is not from a place of hate, disgust and superiority. This 'segregation' is of protection, caring and love for the women in a Muslims life. Please like this so people can see.

Don't be so quick to judge on what I just told you on the above. Islam is a way of life and gives all the NECESSARY details to all aspect of life. In order to understand the details of what this segregation is, God, the creator of everything has been sending information down to us through thousands of prophets over time, peace and blessing be on them all. This 'information' tells us everything our soul NEEDS to know about life and death. For the time we are in God sent for us Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. To show he is a true Prophet and not some madman, God sent his words to his Prophet (p.a.b.b.u.h) which is know as the Quran, This Quran is the miracle which proves to individuals this is the real deal. And this Quran gives them GUIDANCE.(gives information on the aspects on life). Now the Quran is not written in a way where it gives step 1,2,3 on life. Its written in a kind of poetry (but not poetry), so it may be difficult for some people to follow what God has send down. So that is why God chooses the best of people to live out his word, which is prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him. His life helps us understand the Quran and live the way of the Quran. Now a person would have to dedicate a big chunk of their life to truly grasp the understanding of the Quran and will have to know how to sift through the extensive records on how the Prophet lived, only then will this person be able to talk on the matters of the Islamic world. There are the people who uneducated people like me who will tend to go to people of knowledge to have a understanding of how to live life, handle situation ect.. the way God wants stated through the Quran and Prophets life. At the end of the day if there is a God and he has created us then he is the one that knows it all and has the ability to tell us what is the best thing to do for our own enlightenment. So don't judge with an ignorant mind, if you want to find out more ask someone who has the knowledge. And take in to consideration that someone who is born Muslim doesn't automatically know what the teachings of Islam is. You need to ask someone who has done their research and has good understanding of the religion.

@@muhidraihan3505 Good for you man.On the same note hope you and your fellow muslim borthers show the same understanding for other culture too, which of course i think you do.For you the quran, for chirstian the bible, for hindus The Bhagavad Gita ,for me atheist (doesnt mean i dont respect other religon) and so on.To tell you the truth its kind of weird to see "white" muslim man because of what the media shows.I know about the muslims in europe but didnt see or watched about it close enough until today.

@@kristin972 You are wrong. But of course you are free to believe whatever. To the contrary, in the "modern" western culture, women are primarily treated (under the disguise of freedom) as objects of lust and pleasure. Wanna know more, read the book "Fifty Shades of Grey".
