The Cutting Edge with Nick Larson | Never Summer Snowboards

Спорт

Watch Nick Larson carve across 15 inch thick ice on Georgetown Lake in Colorado. Testing 2024 snowboards that have Never Summer Industries cutting edge innovative technology, you can see these boards just tear through the ice.
These boards came straight from The Never Summer Factory in Denver in the exact condition that shops and online orders would receive them.

@@SlingShotKid007 to me heelside requires more balance because of how leg structure is. Toes is easier because ankles can flex and make it easier to lock in that edge.

First test of my Snow Joe was a massive blizzard that dropped 20+ inches of snow with drifts well over 3ft. kzread.infoUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN This snow thrower is definitely not designed for this much snow but it powered through it. We did have to knock down taller drifts with a shovel and at times the chute was awkward because snow banks were much higher than it could throw, but still much easier than shoveling. The plus side of the small size is the maneuverability. Easy to lift up to walkways and works in tight spaces near cars. Highly recommend.Note: after assembling it started but did not turn. The belt wasn't in place. Easy fix.

I have designed and built snowboards with multiple companies that produce their decks in the United States. I can honestly say that without question my neversummer boards are the most durable, responsive, and trusty boards that I own. My shaper series goes where I want it when I want it to while carving, and my Proto lets me land switch so well that people can’t tell which I stance I belong to. I take pride in knowing that snowboards of this quality are produced right down the street from my house in Denver. Keep up the good work, and keep those edges tight! Thanks for not using slave labor to make your products or bulk ordering cheap products with your labeling from Alibaba like ninety percent of the industry. If marketing sees this get off your ass and go tell the guys doing the actual work in the warehouse that you appreciate them. Cheers, Your friendly neighborhood snowboarder

They hold up as good as any. That person either rode the 👏 out of them, rode them a loooong time, or just kept buying new boards because their standards are different. In terms of literal “can I still ride this” they will last as long as any if not, longer. I’ve been riding mine for three years and a total of probably around 100 days on the slopes including park, mogul, and powder riding and have smashed it into trees and rails and the like and I’ve only needed one repair. Ntm how many times it’s been dropped and once might’ve been banged into a parking garage since the car was too tall with the board on top. So… ya they’re 👌 Jesus loves you God bless✝️

Amazing. Beautiful edge control and camera work! The turn at 0.50 was my fav, so extended and styled out with leading arm looking so relaxed. I'd love to see a heel side turn go down.. I appreciate a solid lateral tilt is necessary in order to hold the toe side turn so maybe, with the high backs physics will not allow for a frontside turn? Maybe the next ice challenge?!

Very hard to imagine any never summer handling firm snow better than the Greats. Never Summers are not known for their carving or edge hold. The Greats is well known as maybe the best carving freestyle twin you can buy. Of course there are other more purpose built carving boards that do better. But if you really want carving performance, despite this really fun video, Never Summer is probably not the brand to pursue.
